This will likely look awesome printed on 12"x12" cardboard. Also will probably have a recognizable spine in future 'picture of my vinyl shelf' internet posts.

Really curious about this album, especially because I've sorta been on a jungle kick lately. The other day I came close to starting what I hoped would be some sort of megathread on it that would run throughout February but decided there was no real chance of that taking off on JDFF or here.

Here's that good sounding early VH live recording that I mentioned:

This album is really doing it for me right now as I sit and try to write this paper and watch the sunset from my window.

Someone help me understand the drum and bass and jungle influence on this album. Not being facetious, just unable to recognize it on my own right now.

Yeah, holy shit. Those last three tracks are fucking unbelievable. Undo, if you ever get the inclination to do that jungle thread it would be awesome. I can't stress that enough.

Cool. My favorite studio album of theirs is Fair Warning, I think. Really full, muscular production on that one. Not tinny.

I mean, fuck, the first couple albums with Sammy Hagar rule, too.

    Good bands are really good.

I'm no jungle expert. But Goldie's Timeless is a fucking feature film length double album, and that plus Black Secret Technology will keep a man busy for eons.

Oh, yeah, and Boymerang. Graham Sutton is a genius. That should be no secret. M B V is in a similar "worth the wait" class as ///Codename: Dustsucker. And the new VH, for that matter.

I'd probably have to put in a top three.

    Reasons include:

    - Sammy straight up killing it on "A.F.U. (Naturally Wired)"
    - "Cabo Wabo" being seven minutes long
    - "Feels So Good," which is definitely the apex of something or other
    - "Sucker In A 3 Piece" being such a convincing AC/DC rip

    Among others.
