Anyway, love this guy, glad he lost.  Post stuff about him and maybe McDonald's here.

Not McDonald's, but I went to Burger King recently because they brought back chicken fries. Haven't been back since.

First ever senate dude to vote to oust an own party potus in an impeachment trial, and this even in the era of "we like crimes and unchecked authoritarianism," so even if he's been a spineless fuck during much of his career (and he has!) he's a god damned hero to me tonight. Future of American conservatism, if we don't keep fucking it all up.

I don't blame anyone for feeling cynical about it, and it's not like I'm in disagreement with it. But even opposition in stunt form from someone in the GOP is at least opposition of some sort.

I dunno Romney taking a stand on a vote he knew Republicans were going to win is some weak ass McCain level shit.

The thing is, GUYS, more or less weak than just going ahead and voting with the entirity of the party of which he was the Presidential nominee 7 years ago and to whom now he is a pariah?
If this was such weak ass shit, surely at least one other person would have taken advantage of such an obvious opportunity ? The thing about Mitt Romney, unlike the rest of the Republican party, is that he might actually think that what he says and does matters. If you want to say he did the right thing for the wrong reason, fine, bro. It doesn't change the fact that he did the right thing.
