    -will Obama be impeached?

-the "Tea Party" now has evidence that they're being persecuted by the government!

-abortion slowly being banned across the nation

    -Mark Sanford reelected

    tell me I'm overreacting.

-No, Benghazi is more Whitewater than Lewinsky.

-Well, they do, although it has of course been blown way out of proportion.

-Some of the laws blatantly violate Roe v. Wade standards and will eventually go to the courts. I think the Supreme Court would rather narrowly strike those down than try to overturn Roe, which would be a complete clusterfuck. Can't imagine Kennedy signing on to that.

-Republican wins traditionally Republican seat, who cares.

Heard a WGN anchor claim that "Benghazi definitely has legs" which would be news to Mitt Romney.

It's been a pretty shitty month but it's too early check real estate in Toronto.

It's amazing to me how shitty the previous generation to me was and continues to be. And how effortlessly they think they can pony off the blame on my generation. This isn't a generational issue, but I'm just saying. You guys done fucked it up pretty bad for us younginz.

Some of what's come out more recently does give it some weight it didn't have last fall, although it remains to be seen if that could really damage Hillary in the long term.

Has anybody else on this board ever actually moved out of the/a country to escape the madness? I eventually had to come back, but leaving was pretty much the best thing I ever did with my life. Strongly recommended.

Once I hit 25 and can no longer suck on the tit of my parent's health care plan then I am going to have to move someplace where health care is adequate and affordable. Should work out well since I will be done with school and wanting to start actually living an interesting, worthwhile life.

I don't know where that would be. I tend towards the European countries because Asian culture as a whole has never been very interesting to me. Perhaps Berlin, Barcelona, or I could always crash in my ancestral hometown in southern Italy for a year while I try to figure my life out.

I could basically live there for next to nothing actually. I have no idea what I would do there though except look out my window all day.

My health care is very affordable and more than adequate, but I have like, a real job. Something "your generation" may or may not be interested in. Doing non-thrilling work for the man is like, très boring!

I'm doing hella-boring work for the man at this very moment! Yancy, do you mind if I ask you what you do for a living? Because I'm asking you what you do for a living. Apart from being a professional gambler and pinball wizard, of course.

Yeah, I guess. That and I am just morally opposed to the idea that we should allow millions of Americans to be without affordable care so that when a health crisis does occur they are also dealing with the stress of financial bankruptcy. All because they couldn't find a "real job," which often involves being the useless managerial middle man for the asshole working his ass off to actually produce something with actual value and the dickheads making most of the profits from it.

And also, my generation is by at large hyper-interested in climbing up the social/financial ladder. I am not sure how any thinking person is not immediately disillusioned by the idea of social mobility but the previous generation has done a great job of producing a whole shitload of non-thinkers, so there you have it.

And like, honestly I don't give a fuck what someone does with their life. And chances are that my teenage idealism might someday fall by the wayside, probably sooner rather than later unfortunately, and I'll have to deal with the realities of trying to "make it in the real world." But it's really irritating when I hear people who are conventionally successful chastise or insult people who search for happiness through alternate avenues and methods that aren't prescribed by wonderbread, cock and balls America.

For the last 2+ weeks I've been getting paid to sit on my ass due to the wreck. Normally I work from home 95% of the time, managing IST (integrated systems testing) for a suite of project management software. I attend a bunch of boring meetings, assemble some documents, and manage the testing budget of various software development projects. Although they don't report to me in a managerial/payroll sense, I'm in charge of a handful of offshore resources (Manila and/or Mumbai) for each project. So basically I get paid to instant message people on the other side of the world.
