Seems like Hiller always stands on his head against us though, even during times when he isn't the best goalie in the NHL.

I've always liked Teemu. I'd definitely draft him for my middle aged dads of hockey fantasy team.

The only other legit cool thing about the team is probably Fulton Reed though so yeah fuck those guys.

At some point in the 2nd, Pat Foley went off on a Hawks sock monkey night related tangent and started talking about WWF and Mr Socko. Was disappointed he didn't remember the name of his namesake, legendary Mick Foley.

I just felt like I needed to share that here.

Game is blacked out for me so I'm watching Wayne's World for the first time in 20 years instead. How come there isn't a real Stan Mikita's donut shop yet? We have Tim Horton's all over the northern US and Tony Esposito Binny's commercials but no real Stan Mikita's?

I have been amazed by that for years, and have always maintained that once I make my millions, I will use them for just that.

I hope this is true.

The large statue of Stan Mikita that stood atop the fictional Stan Mikita's Donuts in the movie Wayne's World now sits at the end of MacGyver star Richard Dean Anderson's driveway. The statue was offered to Mikita, but he said, "It's a nice likeness, but what the hell would I do with it?"

I didn't watch the game last night. I tried to but I was with a bunch of uppity people who somehow can't even sit still through a god damn hockey game.

I like the avatar a whole bunch, it just somehow didn't dawn on me that I was sporting a ducks avatar while rooting for ducks losses. I'm all set for now but the above might have to make a showing next time we play Anaheim.

I'm going to start pulling for Ottawa real hard as the playoff race winds down. Fuck Detroit!

I'm tentatively hoping to go to Big Ears Festival down in Nashville during my Spring Break. If that doesn't work out though I am getting in my car, picking up my roommate from last year, and driving down to Ottawa to watch the Hawks on the 28th. Then sliding over to Montreal to get fucked up for the rest of the weekend before driving back.

Ottawa can't be losing that game today and Montreal could have assisted a bit by not getting smacked around by Detroit the previous night. It's becoming sort of a long shot but I want to put 100 Members-Only Ninja Turtles Fan Forum dollars on Ottawa being in the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

  Montreal and Toronto are too terrible this year to stay ahead of Ottawa. I don't know how the Leafs keep winning.

I went to a friend's house who was throwing a shit party last night. I was only there for like thirty minutes but I think like half of the people there commented about my jersey and most of them described it as "an awesome party shirt". Whatever.

I am frustrated by the Hawks inability to ever capitalize on a dominant performance like this and put the game out of reach. Also, how has this team never scored in the overtime period this year?
