    LA Kings twitter last night:
Blackhawks fans were clearly prepared for overtime with all the snacks they can keep in their cargo shorts. #CHIvsLAK

i am sorta glad hockey and basketball have left me freed up for the rest of the summer

That was probably the most gutting thing ever. I went down to the south side yesterday to watch the game with my roommate from last year. We set up a flat screen tv on his friends porch and watched the game while getting boozed. By the time it ended I was already pretty sloppy and after the result I spent about 30 minutes laying on his lawn in disbelief. Then I just continued to drink my sorrows down.

A really unfortunate result but this Chicago Blackhawks team is still the solidest group of dudes I have ever had the good fortune to root for. It was cool to see people still rocking Hawks jerseys and hats today as I was walking through the city today. Overall, another incredible season.

    http://www.ottawasun.com/2014/07/02/philadelphia-flyers-star-claude-giroux-arrested-in-ottawa

Philadelphia Flyers star Claude Giroux spent the night in an Ottawa Police cell after an incident involving a police officer, sources tell the Sun.

Although few details were immediately available, a source said Giroux was arrested for repeatedly grabbing the buttocks of a male police officer. Alcohol is believed to have been involved.

That is a pretty hilarious picture. Doughiness accentuated quite nicely by Roger's svelte frame.

His grace on ice in spite of his build sorta reminds me of my old Naval Academy buddy Dumpy. Possibly the best athlete I've ever met. Hockey/soccer player who got recruited to be a kicker for the football team. Was an absolute monster at pretty much any sport. Unfortunately got kicked out of the school for his hilariously fat/sloppy look and/or attitude towards everything. Solid bro.
