There is a young female at my work whom I'm enamored with, and I think the fact that I have a girlfriend and thus cannot do anything about it is making it stronger every day. Like, distracting me from actually accomplishing my work levels of distraction.

Office crushes are the toughest to deal with. My career has almost derailed because of this on 2 occasions.

Anyway, all I've done today is delete emails from like 4 months ago in my Sent folder.

The aforementioned girl whom I've fallen incredibly hard for is transferring to our Chicago office in 2 weeks. This is probably for the best thing personally but it sucks real hard, the office will not be the same in her absence.

I brought all my personal belongings home over the past two days and took the day off tomorrow to update my resume. I'm pretty much done with this job, and Monday would have been a really funny day to quit, but I can't just do that.

    I mean, I can, but I probably shouldn't.

There's also this woman that I'll probably never see again, and I'm not quite ready for that.

Do you guys make a lot of money? I don't really yet.

I used to care about my job having a positive social impact but now I have trouble caring about anything other than whether or not I can tolerate my work, and if they pay me enough.

on that note, I've got some job interviews coming up.

The girl that sits next to me at work has some weird scarf or bandana type thing on her head that makes her look like she is ill or something.

I'm not a fan of it and mostly pissed off that she didn't care enough to pull herself together when she shares a pod with someone as stylish and dangerously handsome as myself.

Putting in a couple days of work this week before using the rest of my vacation time. Not many people in the office or downtown Chicago today so hopefully there won't be long lines for lunch.

Our company moved downtown in September from Evanston. The eating options are much better than the last time I worked in the loop back in 2006. Cafecito, in particular, is fantastic.

I work right around the corner. What else is good down there? I just had some pretty good ramen at that place just north of there on Wells.

A couple blocks past Cafe Cito is a decent Indian place called Naansense. It is like an Indian Chipotle but better.

Freshii isn't too bad but a little expensive so I try to limit those visits. It is tough to eat good food that is reasonably healthy for under $12.

Roti is good but the line gets crazy from noon to about 1:30. People I work with love Mac Kelly but I've never much cared for it. Otherwise you can find a Pot Belly, Pret A Manger or some shitty fast food on each block.

Naansense is fantastic and after Cafecito, my favorite goto place.

Any good Mexican food around? That place next to Cafecito is terrible.

    Is Tossed an American chain?

One has opened next to our office. They sent a girl round with samples and she was wearing a t-shirt that said "My Manager is a Tosser".

    Seemed really inappropriate.

Just the name of the place makes me think of spunk and analingus.

I don't think it's going to do very well over here.

Not so much or least I have not found it yet. I usually go to Taco Fresco if I want a burrito but that is further from your location.

The Empanadas food truck has been off Clark and Madison a lot lately which as far as trucks go pretty great.

Sounds like you guys are relatively close to the Chase tower, which has a pretty good food court. Rick Bayless opened up a torta place there which is delicious albeit overpriced.

The lack of decent Mexican always blew my mind when I was working downtown. Feel like there's gold there for anyone just willing to move in.

Seriously. The only choices in the loop right now appear to be Chipolte/Quora, Rick Bayless, or absolute crap.

I just had a bunch of 20 year olds ask if we can push a weekly meeting back because they have to try and get Billy Joel tickets for Wrigley Field. Billy fucking Joel.

i usually succumb to those requests, because i find myself needing to push back meetings from time to time for purchasing tickets to beer events. however i do hope you find ways to alert them to the error of their ways....like never going to wrigleyville.
