Tom and Jon will be on the Simpsons this Sunday. I've seen a few episodes this season and lolled irl.

Hahahaha archive show from 10.23.07 and a caller tries to convince Tom & Paul F Tompkins that a Burger King movie focusing on The King dealing with the modern world is in development.

I enjoyed Tom running that unarchived episode from '06 last night. Really helped me today. That was a great representation of the show's Golden Age. Just weird caller after weird caller.

i finally read all this thread and, hey, this show sounds good! i've only heard Scharpling a couple times and am familiar with some of his Twitter stuff. i relistened to his most recent Comedy Bang! Bang! appearance the other day and he was great. this show feels like Comedy Bang! Bang! 4 dads (and with more of an NPR/public radio vibe). is that accurate?

Jesus I know a bunch of you are dog owners but last night's Best Show was billed as "Dogember". 3 hours of dog owners calling in to talk about their fucking dogs. Tom talking to these dogs & attempts to get them to bark. This was the worst show of his I've ever heard.

Dog owners are the worst people.

I'm pretty far behind, but catching up the last few weeks now that The Best Show is on Stitcher, and I don't have to navigate thebestshow.net and dl each episode onto my phone in order to listen in the car / at work. Currently at a point (February or March 2016) where Tom is bitching about how Garry Shandling dissed him on twitter, but Shandling is still alive irl. So looking forward to hearing how he handles THAT news.

I managed to tune in live a few weeks ago to hear Tom suck Chip Zdarsky's cock over how awesome Jughead is, and I'm pretty sure he berated some poor caller for reading "new modern who cares" Jughead in like October last year.

Still #Bestshow4life, but Dogcember sounds lame, and Tom can be a real dick, esp. to the guys who are the main type of people who would get his thing.

Best Show 24/7 is great! Like nick I have no problem admitting that I just jumped on this train recently but now I can't imagine my work days without it.

"You thought Spiderman has been around since the Civil War?"
    "Yeah"
"Who was Spiderman fighting in the Civil War?"
    "I don't know, Frederick Douglass?"

Tom blowing through callers trying to guess the only Eagles song he likes was a pretty funny bit this week. Loved the dude that guessed "China Grove"!

I didn't expect 3 hours of Tom talking to James Murphy to be as interesting as it turned out. I liked hearing them discuss influences, Bowie and other random shit. It was a very extended version of the stuff he used to do with Ted Leo & Aimee Mann.

That was a great episode. I could've listened to three hours of Murphy talking about bouncer technique. Hope Tom writes a roadhouse reboot for him.
