Some cock sat next to me on the train and put his elbow into my arm, apparently expecting me to move, but I kinda didn't feel like it. When he left the train he looked back as if I was the asshole.

I can't tell if the girl in my office that is arguing on the phone with someone about going to jury duty on the South Side is being overtly racist or merely lazy.

Her voice is shaking because she is so upset.

Friend of mine was a juror at that court a few months back. When he told the story he kept pausing like he was expecting me to laugh or something.

    "And her name was Ronesha."

    I suspect it's his boyfriend's fault.

She asked someone else where to park that is safe. Also, where she will be able to get lunch. She was informed the courthouse has a cafeteria inside to which she also needed confirmation that it is safe.

What a dummy. As if the person on the other end of the call is ever going to say "good thing you asked, the courthouse cafeteria is totally unsafe. I guess you're off the hook!"

You don't bring a dog anywhere, imo. My future sister-in-law takes her tiny dog everywhere, and while he's actually one of the better behaved dogs I know, and super cute, he's still a fucking dog. Pretty damn presumptuous to assume everyone welcomes the company of your pet.

Welcome to the psychology of self-absorption and entitlement is more like it. I know plenty of courteous dog owners.

I probably do too, but I don't think about them as dog owners because I never see their dogs. Highly visible/entitled dog owners give everyone a bad name.

    Yeah!

I guess I could've said "You don't bring a dog to a dinner party if your dog can't behave better than the hosts' two year old," but if you're one of those under-the-radar dog owners it's not an issue to begin with.

    1. Old lady at the grocery store fish fry stand who bullied the worker into giving her two extra tartar sauces for 5 minutes.
    2. Fat lady who took the old lady's side.
    3. Grocery worker whose need to talk about those ladies for too long after they left killed any sympathy I had previously felt for him.
    4. Guy I overheard while eating my lunch explaining to his dining companion that he doesn't ever eat corn because, "have you ever seen it come out any different than it goes in?"

It's a pretty common thing in upstate NY on Fridays. Fried haddock a roll and two sides. But only one tartar sauce unless you are a persistent and greedy hag.
