Seems like when the Blackhawks lose a playoff game they really lose but when they win it is more like they squeaked it out. But what do I know these are the first hockey games I've paid attention to this year.

Cup is the Hawks' to lose at this point.  The Ducks series should be fun though.

Are Blackhawks fans despised as particularly obnoxious fans in the hockey world?

People were calling Roscival the worst d-man on the team at one point.  Can't they just scrape up a couple of black aces?

I think Canadiens, Bruins and Penguins have the most obnoxious fans, off the top of my head.  Blackhawks seem to have fans everywhere, but they've also been in the league forever and are the easiest of the "original six" to cheer for, along with the Red Wings I guess.

Their fanbase also seems the have fewer band wagoners compared to, like LA and Pittsburgh.

I don't know I only hate the Habs and the Rangers and all of their fans so I'm probably the wrong person to give an opinion here.

I was under the impression that Hawks fans were viewed as frontrunners but maybe not

The problem with Hawks fans is that they draw the douchey segment of Bears fans that like country music, get drunk & pick fights with fans at Soldier Field and live on the North Side. They've endured seeing their football team be irrelevant for 20 years so they just want to experience winning even though they can't name 6 Hawks players.

    That was an awesome run.
Seriously nearly shed a tear when Timonen got to hoist the cup. Great times all around.

X-post now drinking - from last night:

Bought a couple bottles a few years ago while living across the pond. Been treating it like the Cup itself - It goes into the fridge only on days when the Hawks have a chance of winning it. Its only opened on days when they do. It's hard to rate a beer like this, but 10 thumbs up on the five star scale. Best sip of beer I've drank since June 2013.
Unfortunately, this was my last one.
