I think mine is when John Popper sings the part that goes "Tra la la la la bomba dear this is the pilot speaking / And I've got some news for you" because he's so in the pocket and then your mind is like, ok, is this the bridge or another verse? It's really hard to tell because the chords don't ever change.

wikipedia wrote:Weapons collecting
Popper is an avid collector of weaponry, including firearms, swords, and a working $10,000 American Civil War cannon.[18][19] He cites a fascination with their aesthetic of being "life-savingly efficient" machines.[20][21] Popper is a supporter of Second Amendment rights, and appeared on an MTV-sponsored roundtable discussion on gun control which included panelists from the Law Enforcement Alliance of America and Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government.[22] He carries weapons in any state where it is allowed, even wearing them onstage.[23] On his Daily Show appearance, he stated that he decided to move away from New Jersey because of the state's tight gun laws.[24] He said that his Bucks County, Pennsylvania property had 32 acres (130,000 m2) on which he built a private gun range.

I just watched that entire Wizard of Oz homage video featuring Ken Ober of MTV's Remote Control game show. Damn it, Reuben.

Heard it in the car this morning dropping Miniboss off to daycare and I realized that I still know all the words.

I forgot that Ken Ober died and John Popper is still alive.

Ken Ober died? Used to enjoy me some Remote Control.
I knew his career was over, but this... It's all too much.

I recall Dorothy being really cute in that video but maybe it's just because you can see her underwear a few times and I was 13.

But yes, before I had read the OP I was thinking of the exact same part.

Harmonica solos.
I remember when Ken Ober died. I found out when PF Tompkins tweeted it, and someone posted it on a board, probably @Scharpling. I'm not 'on' twitter.
If I had to bet, I would pick Kari Wuhrer as the next Remote Control member to leave us. Though Adam Sandler is probably worth a lot in the dead pools.
120 Minutes' Kevin Seal is still with us I bet.

I can't be the only one who immediately thought "suck it in suck it in suck it in rin tin tin..." even though that totally isn't the right song.

I've been thinking for the past few days that this might be my all-time least favorite song:

Still remember the day I first heard Dave Matthews, delivering pizza after I dropped out of college. Filthy hippie chick pizzeria waitress danced like it was the second coming when MTV played "What Would You Say" on the dining room's ancient front-projection big screen TV.
Also the first place I heard 311, thanks to another server, a pint sized, acne-ridden band geek with coke bottle glasses. Tried his hardest to keep their first three albums on repeat in the kitchen for what felt like years, but was probably "only" weeks.
The cook and I knew what was up. We bro'd down at a RHCP / Toadies / Spacehog arena show, and spun that first Spacehog record like there was no tomorrow.

After countless rounds of "orange you glad I didn't say banana" and similar, Waylon finally figures out how to stump Miniboss.

Re: what's your favorite part of Blues Traveler's Grammy™ Award-winning song "Run-Around"?
I bought four when I was a kid and upon opening the CD case for the first time, I started to panic. How was I supposed to know that the cat was smoking a joint? Good thing my parents never found out.
Since then I've tried to reinvent my childhood and pretend that I never owned multiple albums by Dave Matthews Band or this CD. I haven't thought much about Blues Traveler since then and "Run Around" and "The Hook" have sort of morphed together into one song in my mind.

Re: what's your favorite part of Blues Traveler's Grammy™ Award-winning song "Run-Around"?
When I was like 19 some security guards kicked me and my buddy Austin out of a free Blues Traveler concert for contributing to minors. We were giving beer to some young chicks. It felt really cool, since we weren't supposed to be drinking either. We ended up sneaking back in. One of the earliest moments in my young-adult life where I felt legitimately cool. I think during that same summer I saw G. Love and Special Sauce play a show... at one point I bought a harmonica on the street and never learned how to play it. I think I still have it in one of my desk drawers buried under piles of unopened bank statements and bills and such. I haven't matured all that much since then.

If linking to his blog won't work, maybe dissing 311 will get GDB to post here.
