Liked the 5pm tip off. Didn't like the result.

Re: this is a basketball thread
The UC was the loudest it has been all year last night. The Bulls did everything possible to lose that game. Although that should have been an and-1 for Butler (fuck the refs).
This team makes it really hard for me to root for them. They play up to top competition and then manage to throw away games against the Hornets and Timberwolves. Tony Snell played well last night and just about everyone else sucked. No defense and the ball movement is erratic on offense. Can someone please explain to me why Noah always gets the ball at the top of the key so that he can create a shitty screen for a terrible 3-point shot. I see that all of the time and it makes absolutely no sense. I already miss Thibs.

Re: this is a basketball thread
That win over the Spurs from last week was so awesome. These last two games have been ridiculous. Niko is so fucking bad and insisting on a back court of him and Gasol to close out games is absurd. Fuck Hoiberg. I miss Thibs so much...

I think this is the night GSW loses a game. And I feel really bad about it.

My cousins were at that game. Pretty big bummer. I was hoping the streak would stay alive for that Championship rematch on Xmas day. Oh well...

Re: this is a basketball thread
I'm trying to keep my expectations kind of low still but the Bulls have looked really good since Christmas. Jimmy has been transcendent. Rose is driving and increasing his offensive efficiency. The offense seems to be clicking.
Maybe they shouldn't completely tear apart this team like basically every major pundit was suggesting just a few weeks ago.

I'm home alone and watching the Bulls and at halftime I'm going to walk to Portillo's for a big beef.
Also having some weed. Man I haven't watched a whole game all year.

They changed the visiting team intro music, last year it was the Chromatics song from the movie Drive.

I watched the first 15 games of the year. I still tune in when I'm not busy but I don't go out of my way to do so. It's hard to remain committed to that team and even though Butler is a bonafide baller he isn't that likable of a guy.

Re: this is a basketball thread
I think Cavs GM David Griffin thinks his team is more talented than it actually is. They have the third best roster and they're the third best team in the NBA. Pretty simple.
The Blatt-LeBron personality combo never really worked, so I'm surprised they gave Blatt another half season to try to turn that around.

That was insane. Curry is taking it to the next level. 37 points off Kawhi Leonard in three quarters.

Almost. One of my friend Dan's biggest achievements was taking a really big dump (his third of the day, one assumes) at Kirk Hinrich's suburban home. He didn't do anything mean-spirited, though. Flushed, washed his hands, and went on with his afternoon.

They're blowing every team out and I don't find that fun to watch at all.
Steph Curry isn't a great shooter, just a man who's found a way to break the laws of physics. I can tell.

Re: this is a basketball thread
The only chance the Bulls have anymore is to grab that #8 seed and play the Cavs in round 1. I think that's all anyone cares about anymore anyway.

If you don't enjoy watching this seasons Golden State Warriors then I have to question why you would ever bother watching this sport at all...

Re: this is a basketball thread
As a Warriors fan who watches every single game, they begin to take on a rhythm that lulls you to sleep. Especially when the other team comes out sleepwalking and the Warriors coast the entire first half. I do find it occasionally weird when people say "the Warriors aren't fun to watch" when what they mean is "other teams in the NBA suck and make it not fun to watch Warriors games because they're not competitive".
OKC game this weekend was great fun to watch though! Even though it didn't feel close (even when it was tied). OKC is not up to snuff, for me.
