    Hello.

I was annoyed that I wasn't writing about music so I decided to start a Substack on album closers

    https://therunoutgrooves.substack.com/

I have another 9 reviews done and dusted and I'm hoping to write two new ones a week. One of the nine mentions this forum so I thought I'd like to give you the opportunity to formally ignore it rather than just be ignorant.

    How is everyone.

Looks like you forgot the E. I suppose Steve Howe could be everyone but I think he’s naturally talented at the guitar in ways that everyone cannot be… nice thought though.

Kidding! Doing good over here, how’s ‘married with children’ life treating you? Looking forward to reading those reviews!

It's working out OK glad we got that all sorted before COVID-19 hit. There's a Radiohead one coming up in the next few months that will have a nice reference to this place in it.

I enjoyed your post on "Videotape," Mitchell. I have never really been consciously aware of the phantom syncopation in the track, although I suppose if I had tried to analyze the rhythm at any conscious level it would have occurred to me. And I hadn't been aware of the extra "bonus beat" version from Bonnaroo. All of these links made for interesting reading and leave me better informed as to just what it is about this haunting track that makes it so disassociated, etiolated and beautiful.

This is really great and inspiring, Mitchell. I was writing emails for work today and thought about how much I hate email and wished I could find a way to never write an email again.

Then, I thought about this thread and need to find some similar outlet.

Cheers guys. I've been on holiday so hadn't seen your posts.

Thanks Viv - I'm finding myself scribbling away in a notebook when I remember some minute detail about something to do with an ending track most days now which allows me to drop the idea out my head once it has appeared.

Nick - absolutely I have enjoyed writing something that isn't a formal email or presentation or report. What actually got me thinking about doing this was writing my company's COVID-19 bulletin each Friday

Sorry today's one was about Derek and The Dominoes. The Beastie Boys one before was much more interesting.

Led Zeppelin, Aretha Franklin, Jesus and Mary Chain, Dylan, Radiohead, Oasis, The White Stripes, U2, Miles Davis, DJ Shadow and Joy Division are coming up before Xmas

Hello everyone - still going, some big potatoes have dropped recently and there are more to come as I've just passed #41 in the list, so 60 albums from the top 100 and I threw in the inevitable Laura Marling post and Wet Leg to seem cool.

I now have hundreds of subscribers and am looking forward to getting through the last 40 entries so I can spread my wings with it and be a little more esoteric.
