I think it may be their second best record after Blessed Black Wings. It's the perfect blend of savage riffery and sludgy doom. And the songs (especially on the back half) are KILLER. Absolutely LOVE this record.

Not sure how anything is going to top this BABYMETAL & Dragonforce collaboration.

But I know exactly how I feel about this Destroyer album. This is the kind of fine music I want to listen to non-stop in 2015.

Is anything good at the Pitchfork Festival this year? I got a free ticket but the only thing I'm 100% invested in is Todd Terje and probably Caribou. Anything else?

Run the Jewels? I kinda like Courtney Barnett even though she's definitely 93XRT-fare but I guess that speaks volumes about me. I like the new Jamie XX album and could see his set being enjoyable. I've seen Bully and liked them fwiw.

I don't really like Chance the Rapper but I think he will have a lot of guests onstage with him (Kanye?) and it sounds like his set could be worth sticking around for.

    I'm not going to Pitchfork

I seem to recall that you like Clark. I'd catch that set for sure.

I really like the Shamir record. He's a 19-y.o. gender-fluid Prince/ Basement Jaxx/ Hot Chip worshipper from Las Vegas. Super catchy electro-clash weirdo gay boy pop hop . I can imagine he'd probably put together a pretty good live set.

Would probably catch the Sleater-Kinney set myself. Not their hugest fan but everyone raved about their performance in San Francisco last month

    Madlib & Gibbs are playing...

I saw them at the Metro and liked it. And the album is awesome. You'd probably have to deal with a pretty toxic crowd but that applies for almost every set at every festival, so whatever.

Thanks guys I'll check out Shamir and Madlib if timing allows.

Yeah, didn't mention him because I just saw him a month and a half ago - although I would guess he would do pretty different sets for Movement and Pitchfork so maybe I'll get to compare and contrast.

You can't just say 'the best album in 20 years' and post a cover without a title. Some of us board on phones, you fucker.

Not sure why I took 'their' as 'the'. Now I'm somewhat less curious, though I like The Orb.

Missed this post. It sort of washed over me on first listen when it leaked but thanks for reminding me to go back.
