how often do you think about The Strokes?

It never occurred to me until today that they might have named themselves after blood clots in the brain and not what you do when you row a boat or beat off.

I think about 'em every now and again. More than a few really terrific songs on the first two albums. No shame. Never heard any subsequent albums, though.

It took me a good six or seven years to consider an option other than teenage boy humour, yeah.

My roommate always argues with me over whether or not The Strokes are cool. I tell him I just don't really care and think it's probably cool if you imagine your life as being the material for a Lexus commercial. He tells me something else. I tell him I don't know.

    Mostly, I don't care. It's so...corporate, y'know!

Often! They listen to The Drive and q101 in the warehouse where I work, and I walk in and out of there all day long, so I hear either a Strokes song or "American Girl" a few times a week, and it always makes me think "I should check out a full album by one of these bands. I bet they're all on Spotify".

Also, yeah, the ambiguity of "Strokes" often accompanies these thoughts. "Stroke" can also be used as an insult.

This is the definition I've been operating with.

For a second there you had me thinking "It's been a long-ass time since I've listened to The Drive, they play The Strokes now?"

Every time I see somebody driving a Lotus I attempt to scrutinise them to determine what kind of asshole they are.

Their name makes me think of an unfortunate combination of my granddad's premature demise and wanking.

I play Room on Fire pretty frequently. At least a few times a year at work.

“March 12, 2018” has got me baffled. How does that tweet happen in 2018?

I mean, I’ll give Andy my unconditional love forever due to cabin boy, but damn dude, explain yourself.

I mean, probably? Have gone back to White Stripes records 2-4 recently and they're still pretty damn good.

I hate The White Stripes, which is my obvious bias here

I'll take "Steady As She Goes" and German people humming along to "Seven Nation Army" over the entire Stripes catalogue
