My bro went on some Avec-level transcendental meditation voyage and lost 30 pounds and went half crazy and he emerged with this project.
Pin to plug one if that exists.
I think the goal is to do this as some sort of velvet animal underground collective thing where visuals correspond with sonics and blow up brain bananas. #soundandvision

I dunno… Objective criticism is right out for me since I'm super invested in the project, but if you click stuff lemme know what you think. I like that the  melodies are there despite the nosiness. It allowed my wife to listen without closing her ears and calling me an asshole.

An origin story like that probably deserves at least one spin.

Really enjoying the fact that he's hosting a big "anti-christmas" concert at a christian church, and that the church is apparently totally cool with it:

show to end all ages aka anti christmas campaign at da church
ey y'all, there is a super sick show coming up at ponx church on the day after thanksgiving (Fri Nov 27th), u gotta know about it and shit. Yr boi Macklin is gonna be bringin some fucked up nonsense to the table, local legands murton dur will once again change the waves of the northwest suburban indie game, reflective lakes will be projecting some weird movies, there are a few big tbas, and yir boi pat Ryan will mc'in up a storm in between the sets as well as slingin gyros in the parking lot in some Rasta garb. Plz come and help expose the monster that is Christmas.

I kind of enjoyed the song and really enjoyed the video. Seems that his head is in an interesting place, you should encourage him to keep going!

Amazingly, I recognize names on that poster.  Murton Dur is a band that my friends and I played a really fucking funny show with in early 2011.  And that dude "Macklin" asked us to play because he thought we were part of the Chicago garage rock scene (lol?)

We drove all the way up to McHenry with too much music equipment and a bunch of strobe lights we got at Party City.  I remember listening to Siamese Dream and Young Gods' Only Heaven on the way there.

We got to the show late and it was in the basement of this really nice house in the suburbs.  The place seemed to be packed with high schoolers, plus their parents, which was the weirdest part.  We took way too long to set up and were high as hell and definitely seemed old and creepy.

Our set was just improvised heavy psych noise retardedness that was probably kind of sick, actually, but after probably less than ten minutes someone's parents turned the lights on from upstairs signaling that we needed to stop.  So we did and then packed all the shit up and left.  Various 16 year old kids were all, "WHAT DO YOU CALL YOUR MUSIC????" and "THAT SOUNDED LIKE POT...OR ACID."

Got Slurpees on the drive home. bumpin

Damn that is fantastic. Was positive that basement described belonged to the parents of one Johnny Manseed until I re-read "McHenry." Whole scene just sounds so beautifully Chicago burbs.

I don't think I can make this show, but I'm already working to make it possible. Will update. Ned, you're familiar with the collected works of Maggot Twat, right?

Nope, but even without your cosign, "dick pancakes" has me thinking it is probably up my alley:

I can't say I'm cosigning, lol, but they were definitely the zaniest of the far northwest suburban Chicago gonzo metal bands. Kind of a no-budget Gwar.
