I had an uncle who once ordered this at a diner, and the story is still legendary among our kin.reuben wrote:Page 2!

Not happy about that game, the other night. And I'm not enjoying watching that bullshit St. Louis/Minnesota series, either, since one of the two teams has to win. Garbage. Anxious as fuck, re: tonight, but I've got plenty of hope. And it's the NHL playoffs. Anything can fucking happen, and 1-0 ain't too deep a hole.

Re: Hockey? 16-17
That game had a really harsh vibe... it's one thing to get beat... but to outplay the other team for 2 of three periods and just not break through...
series is still totally up for grabs if we can snag a victory tonight, but I feel like the teams that win these sorts of games are the ones that go deep in the playoffs.

Yep. Reminded me too much of 2015, when I thought that we were the team kinda consistently getting outplayed but still finding insane (or at least counter-intuitive, given that we were being outplayed) ways to win.

Re: Hockey? 16-17
I watched game one and felt some of the usual nervousness and frustration welling up in the last five or ten minutes, but my heart really isn't into it this year. I'll still watch all of the games, of course, but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it either way.
The Habs - Rangers game last night was awesome. Plekanec with 17 seconds left to force OT. I was wearing my Gallagher jersey and sipping brews last night.
Mostly though, since I really don't feel strongly about this season whatsoever, I am rooting for the Senators of Ottawa! I just want to vicariously enjoy these playoffs through Reuben. Let's do it. Fuck the Bruins (ps: that goal was offside).

Man, that reaction from MacArthur after that tying goal. And now there is a brouhaha on the ice. I love it!

Yeah, gross game. I turned it off after the 2nd and decided to fold laundry and listen to the beastie boys instead.

Re: Hockey? 16-17
with Hawks horrible death and now this caps pens series turning into a depressing mess, Sens are the only thing keeping me outta the dankest of hockey playoff depths.

Last time the Sens made it this far the Twisted Mistërs were running the table at the World Series of Pop Culture.
