Can't watch the video at the moment (work), but I hope it's the montage song from Hot Rod.

Here is how it will unfold:
Jeb will stroll to the Republican nomination. It will get to where "challengers" are almost purposely screwing up in debates or flat out cheating on their wives in public to avoid JB needing to spend anymore than absolutely necessary.
Hilary will have close to the same primary experience. Bound to be one upstart that wins a debate and gains a groundswell of support. This will probably be someone that the left should genuinely be excited about because, you know, they are actually a progressive Liberal as opposed to whatever the fuck Hilary is.
But they'll have one bad sound bite that the press will jump on and make an issue of which will sway those undecided cunts back towards Hilary.
True Democrats will be depressed about having to support Hilary but 3 months into the Bush vs. Clinton campaign will actually have to defend her because Jesus fuck can you fathom what another 8 years of a Bush will mean?
Fuck off America you disgust me.

How would Jeb stroll to the nomination? He doesn't seem like a particularly strong candidate, and he'd face plenty of opposition in a crowded Republican field.

The strongest brand the Republicans can use is the Bush Brand. Yes, it will be crowded at first but Jeb is going to have a shitload of money.
The narrative will be how America has gotten weak, Benghazi, Ebola, Obamacare and Immigration will all be used as examples and the talking heads will repeat this incessantly because that fires up hatred and hatred drives ratings. And the donors will know having a Bush constantly in the campaign news cycle will stoke those feelings and the money will pour in.
GWB will be all over the place too. Enough time will have passed where he feels he can throw support behind a candidate and the Right will remember how unified they were under this guy and give that same level of support to Jeb.

i think any appearance of GWB to support his brother is not a good thing at all, outside of the staunch right wing. that wins over no independents.
i'd put money on hillary right now.

What do you mean by immigration? His record on immigration will probably be a hindrance to him in the primaries, not an advantage.
And how do any of those other things favor Bush over other primary candidates? Those tea party / base appeal issues work for Cruz or Walker or Rubio better than they do for Bush.

Re: THE 2016 US PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
There is nothing Rand Paul could do or say that would make my girlfriend realize that he's a scumbag or at least a total demagogue in disguise. Maybe she does realize it but she won't admit it because she's desperate for someone like him to be real, or something like that. She was head over heels in love with his dad despite the fact that she's seriously pro-choice, or at least says she is. She actually thinks he'd try to legalize drugs, cut military spending* and eliminate corporate subsidies.
I hate politics and I'm actually pretty stunned myself by how quickly I've become this apathetic, I thought it would take decades.
Shit like the Michael Brown shooting and Gamergate just makes my blood boil and ruins my day and I don't know how to cope with it in any way other than to just stay off the Internet and not watch news on TV. Mental illness probably blows all this stuff out of proportion, but then again it's not like you can sit back and just pretend this stuff doesn't matter. It's easy to assume that every generation in this country is going to be more progressive than the last or at least more tolerant, and that's an assumption that's given me comfort in the past but I can't say that it's something I really believe anymore.
A whole year-plus of campaign controversies and the kind of base-stoking fear-mongering that's become a regular part of this whole process is not something that I want to keep going through. In the past I could get fired up and inspired and hopeful about it all but why would I feel like that anymore?
*I don't want to put Ned out of a job, but I'm under the impression that everything the military has to buy ends up costing a lot more than it would for any civilian, not talking weapons here but basic supplies, correct me if I'm wrong about this. Also, it doesn't matter who's president, even McCain would have let the VA go to shit and no one will do anything to fix it in the future because it's Big Government and letting troops get a round of applause at baseball games is all they need.

Re: THE 2016 US PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
I once rode in a taxi van with David Axelrod, Paul Green & Jay Dougherty & in that 10 minutes they plotted how State Senator Obama would become POTUS.
Not one of them realized they were riding with an intern that was a message boarding genius that would go onto to share this information many years later.
FYI - That intern was me.

Dude you're like 100% OTM on all this. Shit's super broken, I'm just hanging on as long as I can to a good deal and trying to build future prospects.undo wrote:

Also, no need to worry since I'm already well on my way to putting myself out of a job.

Not speaking for Ned here, but I think he's in agreeance with your position on military waste.
Off topic, but did you ever get those MOTO cds you ordered?

I have no idea who mark Rubio is or what he's about, but based on 1st sentence of that article, my gut says fuck that guy. He'd be cooler if he were me.

I don't disagree with this, but doesn't it go without saying? I'm pretty sure that even The Fonz would be cooler if he were Ned Braden.

Trump grows lead in NC; GOP leads most match ups
Finally another declared independent candidate, Deez Nuts, polls at 9% in North Carolina to go along with his 8% in Minnesota and 7% in Iowa in our recent polling. Trump leads Clinton 40/38 when he's in the mix.
