My flatmate gave me a light coat he received for his birthday that he couldn't fit into

    Clothes houndz. - Page 19 Img_ehusLzOpNiH2[/url]

The fit doesn't look so great on me here either, but I assure you that's merely an indication of my inability to use a webcam properly. You get a sense of the style anyway.

Trying to figure out if I can pull off a leather biker jacket. I don't have the disposable income to buy a YSL leather jacket but maybe something more reasonably priced.

Also don't know if I'd look like I was trying out 4 a Judas Preist cover band rather than a dude in a cool jacket.

Based on pics, I think U got that shit. It's a tough call, and I've been on that fence many times myself.

The mere fact that the decision was calculated rather than (fucking!) automatic made me rethink it though. Not necessarily saying that's the right logic 4 U though.

I found a really bitchin' biker jacket in Paris, one time.  It was $8000.  I passed.  Every subsequent day of my life has been one lived in the long shadow of regret.

That's how I feel about basically everything I wear. When I was in Italy I bought circular lenses and I was super worried about it 4 a while but I just carried on and after like two weeks I could not imagine my face any other way. Look at me go with them!

shit yeah dude. still pizzaing the shit out of it. Just saw that dude in concert (x post dad rock) and he still brings the fire and whathaveyou.

In keeping with the spirit of the thread, just wanted to say that clothes that R "a little too big just in case U grow" R totally fucking over 4 me. I'm gonna die at this weight...  beer, large meat sandwiches and milkshakes be damned. Even applies to the "my size" suits that were made 4 big folk and that I purchased prior to the alterations...  shit was just too damn large 4 a while there, in general.
Jettisoning some suits and pants and shit 4 my new post-navy sharp dressed man look. Maybe images of whatever the fuck I'm trying to go 4 if I'm persuaded. Got some decent suits. Slim but not (shit took me an entire minute to think of the word...)  too millennial (C "too skinny").

Also picked up some casual shit at Nordstrom Rack today, which is a baller ass discount joint to pop into every now and again imho.

    Also.........

BGwaves wrote:I haven't posted here in a while and it's sorta fitting that something like this brings me back... I worked near Grammaphone a few years back and one day on lunch break I decided to head over that way. As I was walking up a short man walked out that looked like the most stylish, good looking, and put together man I have ever seen. I looked at him and he sorta looked my way as he rushed past. It dawned on me a few minutes later that he vaguely looked like Prince. I found out a few minutes later that it was... Still blows me away typing the story because it was such a rushed experience, like 1 second, and yet it's still fresh in my mind like it was yesterday. Shopping at Grammaphone!!!!! RIP

I'm currently watching a Parade Tour video and just looking at this fucking guy.

If Prince dying wasn't the most depressing shit ever, me contemplating fashion in the realm of society's and my own limitations is just... man.

    Fuck not being Prince.

    We'll probably try it anyway.

I've never worn white denim. I doubt I could pull it off and I'm pretty sure I'd spill something on them or sit on a dirty public transport seat within the first week of ownership and ruin them.

I'm in the market 4 a suit but I don't know the quality of the reasonably priced brands really. I'd like something at least partially canvassed and I'd prefer to not need extensive alterations on the jacket so it would need to be pretty damn slim. I'd prefer European style high arm holes, two button, solid color. Any suggestions on where to start?

I don't know if its a good reference but PS Paul Smith and Hedi-era YSL jackets fit basically right off the rack; the former's trousers aren't too bad a fit but the latter's I can't squeeze my average-sized legs into them.

Want to spend under $1000. Any ideas?

I think the skinny arm request is what will cause issues 4 your price range. I cannot wear skinny suits and lean towards slim fit but I think Topman is of decent quality from what I've seen at Nordstrom.

Zara makes a skinny fit jacket but their material is not great and U'll have to tailor the sides in all likelihood. I've been buying Blazers from Scotch & Soda lately but still have to get them tailored.
