On another note, I and a friend should release our "clothing line" by end of July. Will be one shirt and one pair of pants, each in two different styles. Pretty hyped about it, and will post pics/links when ready.

Considering picking up those ugly Balenciaga sock shoes. They are insanely comfortable. Also, I would like to get snapped by other fashion week photographers so I can get a little brand promotion via insta-tagginig and they would prob do the trick.

Not sure where else in the forum to put this but I got my first tattoo today. Does anyone else have tattoos? I assume there has to be a few, pretty sure Nick does(?)

I don't have any tattoos, but my cousin is a legit lizard-man. Covered from the neck down. Fucking freakshow.

More power to y'all, of course. I just feel like there was a point, some 25 tattoos back, where he crossed the line and started to look less like a man than like a cartoon character drawn in poor taste.

Re: Clothes houndz.
Well there is a delicate balance if you're going all in and covering most of your body between being a cartoon character & looking somewhat "good".
I wouldn't go for anything on my neck or much below the elbow for employment reasons. People like Nick Wooster or David Beckham have been able to incorporate full sleeves as part of their look effectively. But a lot of random dudes you see at a Chicago beach lean more towards the "my cousin is an aspiring artist & gave me a discount" vibe.

He's got a little of everything. His back piece is, in my opinion, hilariously bad. He's got a few offensive or just absurdly dumb/embarrassing tattoos, too. But he's also got some terrific, award-winning work. I feel like it's just garish, though, when you put it all together. Looks ridiculous.

Re: Clothes houndz.
I've been spending an obscene amount of time at the river beach the past couple weeks and it got me thinking: what kind of sunglasses to LoPPers rock?
I got these about five years ago as my first pair of real, expensive sunglasses ever:
They're still going strong today, but it actually makes me feel a bit anxious because I like to switch my style up more regularly than that. It's funny how buying quality can put you in the pickle like that.
Some guy at the beach came up to me on Saturday and asked me where they were from, which I think is the first time that has ever happened.
I also think it's about time I got my prescription checked and invested in some new corrective eyewear. Ever since Etnia Barcelona came out with this style I feel like it's been calling my name: https://www.etniabarcelona.com/en/collections/jasper-blbk/?tip=view
Of course that is a joke and I am actually contemplating going the clubmaster/plastic top frame and wire bottom frame look with my next pair. My first pair of glasses were horn-rimmed, black square glasses. My second pair was slightly more fashionable and less blocky squares. My third pair had a keyhole style horn-rim and were more rounded than previous glasses. My fourth and current pair is back to the classic horn-rimmed, but they're brown and fairly fashion forward.
P sexy, but they've picked up a few scratches after 2+ years.

I have a pair of these Garrett Leight shades, though I believe the color of mine has a bit more yellow to them. I can't actually tell if its just differences in photo lighting or not. I like them as they have that classic frame look but the metallic attachment adds a little extra something to them.

Got these at Belmont Army for $15 like eight years ago. Think I asked the board shortly thereafter if they were women's sunglasses. I forget what the answer was.

Duff, you need to be protecting your eyes with polarized lenses/acting like a douche with a $200+ pair of shades, bro.

Not the first nor will it be the last time I fail to live up to the elite aesthetic of the board.

Saw Chuck Close on Charlie Rose a few years ago wearing these frames. Remember being very impressed with them at the time.

"Oh, we only carry women's sunglasses."
I only wear them in the car so it hasn't caused a scene yet.

Re: Clothes houndz.
Ever since I was a kid I was weirdly jealous of other kids who wore glasses, I always wanted them myself and that feeling never really went away. I still sort of look forward to getting them as a consequence of whatever ravages of age inevitably take my 20/20 vision, sooner or later, who knows.
Dropped this on my girlfriend and got a out-of-character but truly devastating "You won't look good in them at all, they'll make you look like my dad" response.
Well shit so much for that.

I like a linen blazer. Scotch and Soda has some decently priced light weight blazers that go well with jeans or pants during the summer. I find their sleeves need a little bit of tailoring.

New York has been all over the map lately so I've needed to toss on the occasional jacket. I have a reversible silk bomber/souvenir jacket that does the trick for chillier days but mostly forgo another layer throughout the summer in NYC.
