"Been Calling" is an oldie but goodie and "Sisi Maria" is my jam of the week

New Go! Team release has their brand of built-in nostalgia that is, unsurprisingly, making me nostalgic. I still can't stand the mastering of their albums and how trebley they are but its a nice, prob forgettable listen to wake up to regardless.

This is one of those artists I love with all my heart and never expected to hear from again.

The one track that's streaming from this is not good but I am still optimistic. My annual vinyl purchase has been made and the deep listening session I'm going to have with this is going to be something.

It’s been a slow start to the year. I haven’t felt compelled to listen to a new release more than once.

This is a very enjoyable video and I do have the "go fuck yourself" line stuck in my head a little bit. The tune is nothing groundbreaking but I like it anyway.

Due to my ridiculous past life as a Jim Derogatis Fan Forum poster, I got into the habit of taking the first two or three months of the year off for new music after a two month binge. But since I've discovered the ease and convenience of the public library CD collection I've been looking for new music and drawing a blank as to what I would even look for in 2018. Guess it's not just me.

The Optimal album is brilliant. I'm not sure why I never dove deeper into his discography.

I've wanted to do a Shuttle358 post in the ambient thread for a while now, it's going to happen eventually.

Holy Hades, David Byrne is 1200 years old and his album is so embarrassing that I was covering my face, begging him to stop, and thinking of Titus Andronicus.

I’ve listened to the new Iceage several times the past couple days. It is quite good. Hard to believe this is their fourth album of consistently excellent music.

Speaking as someone who doesn't really spend very much time thinking about Yo La Tengo, their new jam is an absolute unit

I’ve not been able to stop listening to the new Amen Dunes single “Believe”. What a gorgeous song. It subtly builds over 5 minutes and the final minute I’m like oh fuck I want to hear this again.
