The President made a point to talk about the fertilizer plant explosion in Texas. Sadly forgotten during this Boston situation. What a wonderful thing to do. I'm sure he is going to shit all over Chechnya in the coming weeks too.

You guys know who I like? The governor of Massachusetts. Reminds me a lot of Obama but I can't quite put my finger on it.

Those words only go so far. Our electoral candidates owe it to us to starting having serious conversations about what needs to be done in order to start at least trying to meet the ideals that this country is founded upon. Which are, pretty much undoubtedly, some pretty kick ass ideals.

It is actually insane to me that even after Sandy Hook the gun debate still ends in partisan squabbling where only 4 Republican Senators have the balls to do the right thing.

And I am so fucking sick of the complete misrepresentation of what it means to possess civil liberties. First of all, freedom and liberty is not something you ever possess but something that you have to practice within a society and through your interpersonal relationships with other individuals. I am just really disheartened by all of this.

If the politicians we elect don't get the ball rolling then we need to become better civilians and take an active role in bettering our communities, and therefore bettering ourselves, without them.

Maybe it's just an extremely unflattering dress, but she's built like a tank. Looks like she would grow up to be another famous Hawaiian, wife of Dog the bounty hunter.

I hope Obama reads some of the Vampire Weekend reviews that reference how it is a mature album about being disappointed with Obama's America. Then, I hope he orders a drone strike on Vampire Weekend.

I heard Obama's date's name on the radio today, so I'm sure a current photo will be on Morning Joe tomorrow, and we can judge her then.

I agree with this mostly, but I'd like to see the president shorten his "long game" a little bit over the next 3 years.

i am really concerned that the second-term "long game" will have a tendency to bleed right into "legacy building" and that Obama may not accomplish anything of note in term two.

Obama showed tonight why I believed him during that first presidential campaign. He should have done this years ago.
