You could sell a couple million copies of anything in the nineties. Probably the worst album art decade ever.

It's like listening to Creed with cotton in your ears, the production is so weird, or maybe it was totally typical of 90s post-grunge. I don't know how to talk about it but whatever it is, Bush is on the totally opposite spectrum of whatever's happening here, I kind of want to put this album and Sixteen Stone into Audacity and see what the waveforms look like next to each other.

After this album their covers were still terrible but in a different way, it all looks like Christian album art from 1999-2003, which they probably could have passed for if there wasn't a thriving Christian rock industry at the time. Lots of stuff on here is almost indistinguishable from like megachurch worship music.

Apparantly there was an alternate cover for this but I've never seen it until now.

If there was a 33 1/3 book for this album I would absolutely buy it.

    You have good ears, because:
wikipedia wrote:Hints Allegations and Things Left Unsaid was recorded in a basement in 1992 as a promotional demo. Frontman Ed Roland hoped to simply sell the songs to a publishing company rather than form a band. [...] Atlantic Records wished to release the demo as the debut studio album of Collective Soul. In a 1995 interview, Roland elaborated on his mixed feelings regarding the situation:

"It wasn't even remixed. It was the same demo. Before we got signed we'd already charted with 'Shine.' Once we got signed I said, 'We want to re-record. This is not a band recording.' But they said, 'You're gonna lose momentum. You're looking at a three to five month process. So let's go with it and you can get your next record out quick.' "

Now playing: Def Leppard: Viva! Hysteria, which I DVR'd a few months ago. Hysteria performed in its entirety in 2013, featuring a shirtless, disturbingly ripped 50-something lead guitarist.

    Now Playing JuliannaBarwick_Nepenthe

I have been playing the absolute hell out of Harbinger during my working hours, and find myself drifting into a happy comatose, listening, while I watch the sun bounce from our neighboring building's windows into the office corner where I work, just for a very fleeting period of time each day.

Had not heard this record or recording artist before last week.

Listening to The Field's Cupid's Head for the first time and I am quite enjoying it. Each song I've wanted to skip in the first minute or so but after having even the slightest amount of patience, every track has opened up into something worth while.

    Good stuff!

My god, that album cover. It's like the horse is taking Smokey out to go potty, and Smokey's all "I can't go when you watch," so the horse is looking away.

    Goldie - Sea of Tears

Watched this drum and bass doc yesterday and it inspired me to revisit timeless. It is hard to reconcile the fact that the aggressive and seemingly crazy dude in the doc is the same guy who made something as beautiful as this song.
