No clue. I like mine flat as a pancake. Typically only super cheap ones will flatten out the way I want.

Got my last two pillows from Ikea for like $5 and they are the best pillows I've ever slept on.

The only pillows that hold up for me cost upwards of $50. I like a firm pillow maintains a cool temperature and good support as I'm sleeping on it. Needless to say, I'm not spending $50 on a fucking pillow, so I sleep like shit.

real talk: I'd spend $100 on a pillow if it'd act how I want it to. I think my constraints might be too much though.

What's the average lifespan of a pillow? 5 years? $50 doesn't seem too bad.

It really doesn't. I don't know why I was complaining even.

Re: I'm in the market for a new pillow
I'm fine w/ most pillows but I don't understand how anyone could sleep without one and I find it even more difficult to wrap my head around one pillow on top of another people.

I sleep better without a pillow than with a thick, fluffy one.

Re: I'm in the market for a new pillow
My wife bought a bunch of down pillows from Williams Sonoma like... a year ago. They are pretty good. Down pillows, but very comfy. Easy to bunch/lay flat. Keep their shape.
I believe they are made by the Pacific Feather company. At least thats what is on the print.

that's what i sleep on too.
goose down pillows are really all you need, they're fantastic. if you smash them down they hold shape. if you fluff them up they hold that fluffiness for awhile too.

Re: I'm in the market for a new pillow
Down pillows are pretty nice but I get a little annoyed when the quills poke through the fabric.

They have a liner that prevents quill poke.
The ones we got are quite stuffed as well. Not sure if you like very fluffy pillows.
