the pay will be no less than you're making now; at the least it'll be the minimum necessary for you to live fairly comfortably. Orleans tours relentlessly, and you'll be travelling the country on a regular basis playing sparsely-attended street fests and auditoriums. all your time during tours will be spent with Orleans and fans of Orleans. the whole Orleans catalog is on the table, but you'll certainly be playing "Still the One" once, maybe even twice a night. if you can't play Orleans songs on bass, you will be taught to do so by the departing Lance Hoppen. do you do it?

great question. Orleans is uncomfortable with that, and they're unhappy that you're making special requests after the terms have been made clear. they say it's no big deal, but you can tell things are already a little strained. oh well

Ask me again in a year. I'm pretty happy with my current gig, but it goes away next August. Basically what I'm saying is that my answer would be "no," and I'd end up regretting the shit of it on my deathbed. At least that'd be a pretty cool little element of tragedy to accompany my departure.

Back in the 70's this song was HUGE. You could not get away from it.
