Re: elite
They used to play this a million times a day on MTV back in 1991, and then it dropped off the face of the earth, I guess when Aerosmith and Alicia Silverstone stopped being cool. I'd never actually heard the original at that point, and as far as I knew Aerosmith's first song was their collabo with Run DMC. I remember on the old LoPP expressing boredom with "Dream On" and getting some crap about it. Well, it's mostly because I was talking about the version you hear on classic rock radio that doesn't involve an orchestra or a gong, before Steven Tyler went all in with The Steven Tyler Thing.
Anyway, I think of this performance everytime I hear this song but I hadn't heard in almost 30 years until now.

Re: elite
Does anybody know how I can get M.O.T.O. albums in MP3 format? I literally asked Paul Caporino, and he was like... "we used to have a thing but the music industry ate itself, and now I guess spotify and itunes," but that wasn't a direct quote.

I was certain that I'd legally downloaded music from them before and dug back through old emails to see how and where. It was from cdbaby.com
http://www.cdbaby.com/Artist/MOTO
Where's the CD Baby Store?
CD Baby retired our music store in March of 2020 in order to place our focus entirely on the tools and services that are most meaningful to musicians today and tomorrow.
I'm trying to access my old orders to redeem downloads but it says I never registered in the first place and I need to enter the order information. Doing so quickly gets me trapped in a loop on the site. It doesn't work!
I sent him an email asking if he's ever going to put M.O.T.O. albums on Bandcamp. Odds are that won't happen any time soon but I'll go out of my way to buy something from him if he does.

Re: elite
^ The conclusion I've arrived at is that the best way to be a decent human is to steal their songs, if possible, via a peer to peer network, and then to throw them cash directly without any recorded goods transfer. Like... even if it's just emailing them and asking for their paypal or venmo or whatevs.
I think I'm right, but feel free to call me out if you have a better way. Also, my rational brain isn't really working correctly, as I'm a tid bit, slightly shithammered.
Now, the problem I've arrived at: what if their goods aren't easily steal-able? and the only way to get them is through some stupid bullshit? At this point, you just stop listening, right?
All this applies to M.O.T.O., since I can't find a place to steal their songs. Though I will continue to give them money.
Fuck guys, why is nobody on this board these days?

^^ That whole post was rambling and nonsensical, so I tried to I relegate it to my "drafts" folder, but apparently it's out and just chilling now, so feel free to judge me for whatever bullshit I posted.

Uh... so I never knew this happened. The footage from this concert is fucking amazing. Surprisingly, I never got into this band when I was younger and it seems a little inappropriate for me to be getting into them at this point in my life. But fuck it, this shit is awesome.

It is, especially the guitar work. My son loves these guys and I have been getting into them lately.

This is the first time I've watched a Joe Rogan video. This is just an excerpt so maybe it doesn't even count.

Somewhere on the Internet there is a really great Madlib DJ set where he plays Paul Ngozi's "Everything Is Over" and has the entire club vibing. I can't find it anymore though. If anyone ever runs across that, please do drop it here.
