Time for a bit of Unironic Patriotism

I was driving back home the other day on the A1 and we stopped at an "American Style Diner." I really like it over here in England, but one thing's for damn certain and that's that we Americans know how the fuck to get it done.

Please tell me all that food is for you.

My wife took a decent chunk out of the eggs and bagel but the rest was all me. They had pretty solid milkshakes as well.

last night i enjoyed a slice of pizza from whole foods that featured brisket and giardiniera on it. holy hell, my stomach does not like it this morning, but that was a celebration.

we made corn, lobster rolls and bbq chicken yesterday. i went home and sat on the stoop in humboldt park drinking a beer and listening to nonstop explosions coming from all directions. was a pretty good day

Happy independence from my current home! Missing the states real bad lately and this holiday I think is going to be the real kicker.

We celebrated America today by inventing slip-n-slide related beersports. Life is p great.

i drove through 3 different states, went to a fireworks show on a golf course, rode my bike a bunch, went to a bob evans 4 breakfast, had my 98 yr old grandmother drive us home from bob evans ("R U scared?" she asked us while driving), watched a bunch of early tour de france, went to a goofy ass parade in columbus oh, got home to humboldt and enjoyed listening to explosions in the neighborhood 4 hours on end.
