Re: Now Playing
Listening to a bunch of Bowie’s live albums from the 70s. It’s mostly awesome, some shit doesn’t translate live and other stuff just sounds super weird and I can only imagine the audience watching in total confusion!

Re: Now Playing
I have obviously been listening to Eno's music for a long time but I have always gravitated towards his ambient albums. With the exception of Another Green World, I have always had a much more difficult time with his art pop and proto-punk albums from the mid 1970s. But I am absolutely loving this right now.

That's prime Eno. Have you listened to Roxy Music at all?

Yeah, I listen to both of those albums at least a couple times a year. Some of them are old kills me still and no matter what state I’m in I’ll crumble into a ball and drown in tears.

I've only ever listened to Avalon. I really need to get around to the early releases when Eno was still around. It's on my list.Michael K. wrote:That's prime Eno. Have you listened to Roxy Music at all?

Starting July 4th weekend with a horrendous case of Shingles on my fucking face plus I’m on serious antibiotics that prevent me from drinking. So, I’m just going to isolate in a bedroom and listen to Jesus Lizard non-stop! Whoooohoooo!

I've been playing through the Motley Crue catalog. Loads of fun. Great innovative lead guitar.

For sure, its been a fun experience going through the labels of a few different artists to see what else is there that I either haven't heard or forgot about. Similarly, reviewing or discovering old Tiny Mix Tapes reviews, or going down Spotify/Youtube worm holes to discover things that are tangentially related to what I'm already liking.
Picking up the reissue of this one next:

Eartheater - Irisiri
First time with this one. It’s a haunting listening experience. Nostalgia through the lens of experimental electronics and harp. Lots of dream like moments or hallucinatory pastiche, if you prefer. Haunting passages give way to redemptive choral vocal arrangements. This type of album needs alone time to be fully enjoyed. Spin it in the shower like I did this morning. I don’t consider it an experience one shares until after it’s over.
