learned what NEET means today

5 years ago I was laid off and allowed myself 24 hours to wallow in pity. My current employer was the first job I applied for and this morning they announce my fourth promotion in 5 years.

I had dinner tonight with just the son of the family I am staying with because everyone else was out. Shoah was on French television so we were watching that. He studies economics and he is about to take the Baccalaureat so he was showing me everything that he needs to do. We also made our way through French political history and he is pretty well read in Marx.

This isn't exactly 'crushing it' but I negotiated my way through an entire dinnertime conversation, that had actual substance, in a second language and for me that is a totally new and exciting thing.

Also earlier in the day I drank two pints of Paulaner and then had sex.

Overdosin' on pie over here!!

The new neighbors brought over a freshly baked cherry pie last night as a welcome to the neighborhood gift. Had a piece this morning with coffee and it was so fucking good.

I now take the suburban Pace bus to and from the train station. What a gift from a higher being this thing is. Picks me up and drops me off a half block from the driveway and now I get home like 30 minutes earlier.

i toured with benoit pioulard last month, working out a contract with a booking agent, have several releases in the pipeline, and getting paid/credits on like 4 records by other people this year. very psyched.

Didn't get charged 4 guacamole on my burrito at Chipotle.  I don't think it was a promotion because the guy in front of me did not receive similar treatment. Actually paying slightly less than eight dollars 4 said meal really felt incredible. Simply outstanding. It's all downhill from here.

They should give U that shit food 4 free.

Kidding. I fucks with 'Lote! Well I did. I haven't been back since the e. coli scare tho.

Just ate leftover Indian food.  Going to eat some bomb-ass Jamaican food 4 dinner.  Then I think I'm going to get some (Amish, apparently) pastries 4 dessert.  Probably going to download a few movies to watch via BitTorrent protocol, too!

Oh, and I'm on a modest vacation in Philadelphia.  Drove to New Jersey and rode the tallest and second-fasted roller coaster in the world, on Sunday.  It was boss as fuck!

Just might take another drive to ride this one, this week or weekend.
