Enraging

Went to refill my coffee mug three times this morning. Each time the pot was sitting on the heater with less than a sip of burnt disgusting sludge on the bottom.

Ok now I'm enraged too.

This and people leaving time on the microwave rather than resetting it to zero enrage me to no end.

Pretty laid back dude myself. Not a lot gets on my nerves seriously.

General untidiness is irksome. Sloppy dress / appearance too. Usually don't have to spend anytime with such people. So not really an issue as it might be if I were a college student or roommate.

It's been so long since I've worked at a company that didn't use k-cups that i'm having trouble relating to the OP.

Nick's microwave comment definitely raised my blood pressure though.

Do you cook popcorn in the oven?

I don't eat popcorn.

I don't think stovetop popcorn is much better than microwave popcorn. Certainly not to the extent I would take that option over a freshly popped bag in under 2 minutes.

Yeah, even if there's some noticeable difference in a blind taste test, I'll take microwave popcorn for its ease, speed, lack of mess. Although I'm probably the wrong person to weigh in since I can count on one hand the number of times I've eaten non-theater popcorn in like, a decade. Regardless, it's not like we're advocating microwaving a steak.

Yeah, I just made my own sandwiches before I set off for work.

We have a toaster oven where I work. Is that unusual?

Also, 3 microwaves, a 4-slot toaster, 3 refigerators, and a K-cup machine.

Don't try to run the toaster, toaster oven and the microwave on the counter next to the toaster all at the same time, you'll trip the breaker, and have to call me to reset it.

Because no one else in this fucking place is capable of figuring it out.

Not anymore.

We only had one each of: a microwave, a mini fridge and a drip coffee maker.

They're pretty convenient for an office full of people who have been conditioned to expect their own favorite coffee flavor any time of day. And yeah, they're the epitome of disposable consumerism, but driving to work each day is worse than having a K-cup or two, so people get over it or just don't care to begin with.

Probably not long before California bans or taxes the fuck out of them.

Kinda at a loss at the popularity of the K-cup but I guess I've never actually experienced it.

Popcorn is the only thing I'll use a microwave for but stovetop is def better if it's an available option.
