Used game stores are full of cartridges of that crap. Recently picked it up for the express purpose of landing the goddamn jet, glad to say that chapter of my life is now closed.

Of course, perhaps this was a typo a la "you now prosess dracula's rib" I dunno. No doubt I could probably research this matter further on an FF superfan forum, but I like the ambiguity.

EDIT: most definitely a typo. Just doesn't add up. Same as Sypha being called a guy in the instruction book of castlevania III despite clearly being a woman in the entire arc of the story.

Have you played the boardgame as well, or just the app?

I haven't played either, but I'd like to check it out. I'll make a note to myself to watch out for the Android version. Sounds like they have one in the works.

Got the scoop from my homeboy. Apparently if you don't wait for Shadow when Kefka's unleashing the Espers, it's Relm you find there instead of Shadow. They forgot to switch pronouns for Shadow right there, but he's definitely all dude.

Been obsessed with Hearthstone, the card game based on Warcraft, lately. Any of you guys play?

Never heard of it. Still pinballin'!

Yes. I have a five-win key going right now in Arena with a x3 Spiteful Smith Paladin deck. Attacked with a 16/7 Venture Co. Mercenary last night and then Avenging Wrath'd my opponent for the win. Very satisfying.

The game is sort of like Magic the Gathering lite, which is both good and bad. A variety of people I know who wouldn't ever get into MtG play Hearthstone, and that's actually how I learned about it. It's very easy to pick it up and play for 20 minutes and then walk away. And of course the freemium format makes it very accessible. On the other hand it does lacks some of the depth and nuance of something like Android Netrunner or MtG.

I lost against four fireballs in a row the other day in arena and nearly threw my iPad out the window. On the other hand Void Terror is one of my fave demon cards and can have a similarly devistating impact.

What kind of deck do you play, raj?

I've only been playing for a few weeks and I've been trying to play all classes pretty equally. I don't have a lot of cards yet. I'll probably keep playing arena until I have enough cards to create a deck that differs significantly from the generic ones you start out with. In arena, I've had the most luck with Paladin and Shaman, including a seven-win key for the latter. I like the minion-generating hero powers a lot.
