    All hangover cures are likely placebo effect as the minimal scientific research has not meaningfully determined what causes them, outside of broad statements such as "its a minor form of alcohol withdraw". Basically, drink more booze is kinda what that means.

    I like to eat spicy Chinese food and drink gatorade and take a midday nap, usually does most of the trick.

    The other sorta factor here is alcohol metabolizes at a constant rate. Nothing makes it digest quicker or slower. So on nights when youve had way too much you may even be ‘coming down’ still when you wake.

    Prevention is the best cure: waters at the bar, anti-inflammatories before bed, water at the bedside table.

    Substitute a greasy cheeseburger when prevention fails.
