I was at my Nan's funeral yesteday. She'd had no quality of life for years so it was a relief tbh. Also gave me the chance to see some folks who I hadn't seen for years (and some little people I'd never met before)

Dude I work with flew from Chicago to Seattle to ask the father. Spent all of 3 hours on the ground. Showed up unannounced and then GoPro'd the thing.
This is probably an extreme case but makes me believe it is still a thing for some people.

If this happened to me I would be like: number one, it's her decision, not mine. I told him if I were the husband and my daughter's boyfriend from Chicago showed up without warning I'd assume my daughter is dead and that my wife and I are moments away from getting axed.
