Re: Now Playing
I just downloaded the Willie Nelson discography and am feeling intimidated. Starting at the beginning. Feeling like this was a good, long overdue decision.

Re: Now Playing
I have about a half dozen Willie Nelson LPs I inherited from my parents. I need to spend some time with those things.

Not sure, 10.2, and got it from here: https://kat.cr/willie-nelson-discography-100-albums-1962-2014-t10792303.htmlzappo wrote:What bit rate and how many gigs?
I'm sure I'm gonna get a virus or get arrested from frequenting that site, but old habits die hard. One of these days I'll splurge on hard copies of the ones that turn out to be my faves. Already have and love Redheaded Stranger, as does just about everybody I guess.
Really enjoying Country Willie Sings His Own Songs at the moment

You don't say. A couple of my friends from London have regularly tried to get me to enjoy this record, but I never felt it. Somewhere, I have a copy which was purchased for me from a Tokyo area used CD shop for what I'm sure was far too much money.

Re: Now Playing
Anyway, I was listening to Dusty in Memphis, earlier. Mine was a good decision. Black Sabbath's Sabotage, too. And then some Ravi Shankar shit.

I started digging around for Pender Street Steppers on Soulseek and found only a couple of 12"s. Do either of you enthusiasts happen to have a link to their longer-form mixes?

Jack Jutson and Liam Butler have become some of Canada's best selectors in a short few years. Their rapid rise belies their relaxed, funky and sometimes cerebral approach to DJing, where New Age and ambient sounds sidle up next to vintage disco and their own earthy productions. It's an aesthetic shared by their peers in Mood Hut, a label and collective that started as an intimate party series in Vancouver's Chinatown neighbourhood and has since spread out into a network of shows, aliases and collaborations. But even with the increased attention, they're still humble, quiet guys who prefer to stay in the background. You won't find any interviews with them online (they turned down the brief Q&A that accompanies our podcasts) because they prefer to let the music speak for itself. Their mix for us, full of rippling guitars, flutes and boogie basslines, really does say it all. Packed with new and unreleased material from the Vancouver massive—Cloudface, Hashman Deejay and Aquarian Foundation among them—it also doubles as a survey of one of dance music's most exciting new corners.

Re: Now Playing
I always really liked Neil Young, but I never bothered to delve beyond the four albums I've always had because it didn't seem there would be enough variation in his catalogue to make it a priority to hear more. This is blowing my mind.
