I think Marc Maron must have done the final or at least one of the final Lemmy interviews. He sounded like each sentence was a struggle but certainly still had his great sense of humor.

Hey guys, is it possible that a grown man who takes pictures of himself with the Confederate flag and Nazi literature isn't all that much of a hero..?

I hate to be that guy. Sucks that he is dead. Have to say I never really dug Motorhead but found Lemmy to be a really hilarious character, for sure.

Like, I got what you were saying, but I didn't even want to think about the questions like "when was this picture taken? what context? can we differentiate between an actual savage and somebody who's just an awesome doofus with an extra copy of mein kampf lying around his apartment?"

Knowing what I know about this guy, I can confidently say that, personal politics aside, if I'd have been able to shake the hand of this jorts wearing maniac on the day this photo was taken, there would be utterly no regrets, and I'd probably have been instantly vaulted into a much greater plane of existence. Even a true gentlemen can take a photo brandishing samurai swords in front of the confederate flag for no discernable reason, and Lemmy is the prime example.

How come when a guy like Lemmy has a collection of Nazi paraphernalia it's because he's a racist but when Spielberg does it's just "props" for his "movies"?

Isn't Spielberg Jewish? I've heard of self-loathing Jews but c'mon...
