I've been meaning to come back to this post, but kept putting it off.chrondog wrote:I preferred Fabregas though. Fabregas at the time was an archetypal central playmaker, my absolute favorite role. I like it for the same reason I pick mages and spellcasters in an RPG: I like the idea of inflicting a cerebral death from afar. I'm the personality that would rather make assists than score goals. This was one of my favorite goals from last season (and I think it may have been Alexis last with the club as well). The perfect weight on that pass from Wilshere is wonderful. I remember watching it live and I was having a horrible day and watching that got me out of my seat and brought a smile to my face.
Obviously, Wilshere's game isn't really as a deep lying playmaker (regista), but I think he has the attributes to remold himself into this kind of player if he dedicates himself to making that change. I really hope that he takes advantage of his fresh start away from the Emirates.
