definitely have to agree with this. i think it's his staccato vocal style that is so jarring. which is why i think The Robots decided to pair it with that "doing it right" sample: to juxtapose the anxiety of that repeated vocal sample with another extremely hooky vocal section that ties the whole thing together.
i think it works. probably also helps to like hip-hop.

One of my pinball friends who also happens to be an Animal Collective stan just posted on facebook that "Doin' It Right" is favorite RAM song. I asked him which would be his favorite if he didn't know it was Panda Bear.

"Lose Yourself to Dance" is mixed and/or mastered really dense & bassy. I have to turn down the (already less than impressive) bass in my car to keep Pharrell's wall of vocals from sounding like a distorted mess. I don't think it's a bad rip or even necessarily a bad mixing decision. Probably just need higher quality speakers to cleanly reproduce a million dollar record with a gazillion overdubs.

FTR, "Touch" & "Contact" are far and away my favorites. "Get Lucky," "Giorgio" and "Instant Crush" are close behind.
