Literally the one thing I know about them is Rob Sheffield enjoyed them in the 80's but not in the late 90's.

But yeah, White Bread Black Beer featured prominently on Roger Mexico's 2006 SOMB AOTY list. He reminds me of Durutti Column in how he pretty successfully incorporated new stuff in his '00s music that shouldn't have worked on paper.

I lived through (and continue to love) the '80s, and I can't tell you anything about Scritti Politti. Not even one song title.

That one single, "Perfect Way," was a super catchy queer dancy Bronski Beat-Kajagoogoo jam. That's all I got.

I notice that the Liaisons Dangereuses LP has just been officially repressed for the first time in ages. I have a shitty bootleg from a few years back so I'll probably pick it up.
