You never heard it before? Such a 1974 art rock classique.

I listened to it for the first five times, today. I'm blown the fuck away.

I bought this at a specialist vinyl shop today. Love the art work.

Hah, no. They mostly seem to sell continental European electronic imports, which seems fairly specialist to someone who's new to the vinyl game and has only really been into shops that are like a more left of the dial HMV.

"Lanzarote" is pretty good. I was saying in another thread on here, that is what got me into the Todd Terje album from 2012. I recommend it. "Inspector Norse" kills me. Terje is more skweee than the space-disco template Lindstrom move around through so it's not as smooth as "Lanzarote" but more engaging, I think.

never heard anyone describe Inspector Norse (or any of Terje's productions) as Skweee before.

beyond the vintage synth and Scandinavian origins, I don't see it.

even when he flirts with the funk, it tends to be in the form of Heatsick déviations down psych wormholes.

supposed to be going out in about an hour but im highly sceptical that the musical offerings will match this....

to me skweee does just mean the vintage, arpeggiated synths + funk rhythms and that's exactly what "Inspector Norse" is.

i don't follow the culture at all so of course i don't really know what i'm talking about.

yeah, there are vast oceans of music that fulfil those criteria and are not Skweee.

I'm now remarkably stoned/pissed and listening to the entire Sensate Focus discography.

Love this shit but a few minutes ago the power went out and when it came back on the record player started up at 33 and it all sounded disconcertingly familiar but not quite right.

I got halfway through Electric Ladyland and realized I was totally bored.

I got through 2 and a half songs on this Colin Stetson piece of shit album and realized I was totally bored.

i dig this album.

ive seen that the album has popped-up for purchase at a few places online. gonna see if i can find it in any of the stores round here tomorrow.
