Just got really stoned watching a PBS doc about caves and for some reason Take Warning by Operation Ivy got stuck in my head and now it won't go away.

I'm really jazzed up about the MadGibbs show next weekend. It's gonna be my first concert-going experience since seeing Godspeed out in SF this summer. I've been waiting to see Madlib in action for like five years now. I'm also really excited about the Pinata release even though I haven't really been feeling a lot of the recent track releases. I'm just hoping for an album full of tracks like "Shame" and "Thuggin". Regardless of how the record ends up being received I am probably going to unapologetically love the shit out of it because I can't be critical about anything Madlib touches. His general attitude and low-key status makes me really happy about life. He is probably such a cool dad.

Also, I ended up in a weird last.fm wormhole for like thirty minutes. I was looking through some of Paves' recent scrobbles and somehow ended up on Jasper's page when I saw that this gem was one of his top played tracks...

This shit bangs homie. I spin this shit on the regular.

About to start my third listen of the day to Fat White Family's Champagne Holocaust.

Anyone that was into Ned's recommendation of Compulsive Gamblers (as I was) will probably like this album.

have been listening to this quite a bit lately, though I typically skip the first track. It is quite a Long Player and made the Roger Mexico and Jessica Swanlake church scene quite heavy and likely more memorable than I might have otherwise found it. Though I guess we'll never know, eh? It did seem pretty significant removed from 106.7 here.
