    Asheville is cool.

We’ve checked out Rankin Vault, Sunny Point Cafe & slammed tacos at White Duck. Had some Wicked Weed beer too so good recommendations!

Drove around Pisgah National Park too!

We drove through Flagstaff around New Years on the way to Havasupai. It was a fun, touristy type town with an awesome crystal shop if you are into that sort of thing.

Still trying to figure out plans for this year but we are definitely heading to Red River Gorge over Memorial Day weather permitting and backpacking The Enchantments over Labor Day.

Charleston could be a little warmer this week but the food is terrific.

Since Monday I’ve had a fried chicken biscuits & gravy at Hominy, a burger at Poe’s Tavern, fried seafood platter at Fleet’s Landing & drove to Folly Beach to take down tacos at Taco Boy.

Goddamn and we are here until Friday. Tomorrow it is going to be warm enough to take my shirt off but I don’t know after all this gorging.

dubstep The best hike. Be sure to scramble to the top of Little Annapurna, climb Prusik Peak if you climb, and have the best time.

Did you get permits? It's VERY tough to get permits these days if you did not do so

Yeah! There's a group of 6 of us going and we all requested permits. Out of the 6 I was the only one to receive one (for the Snow Zone). Most of us are avid climbers but as none of us trad or have a strong desire to carry up an additional 30 lbs of gear so we'll skip the climbing this trip. I'll take a look at Little Annapurna. Thanks for the tip!

Edmund's Oast is really good if you can make it over there. then you can walk to Revelry afterwards

there's a plaque dedicated to Robert Smalls, a Goddamned American Hero, that i found I think around Waterfront Park, or perhaps down by White Point Garden. A beacon of light in that confederate infestation.

Going to be in London, Paris, and Amsterdam for a few days each in late May.

Welcome suggestions on cool and interesting places therein, or general tips for spending time in these places.

I assumed you were just talking about England, but google search confirmed that Harry Potter World is, in fact, a thing that exists.

    Congrats on the condo purchase!

How many days are you going to be in Paris? It has been quite a while since I was there and I am by no means an expert but I can probably recommend a few things if I have some idea of how much time you have to spare.

    Have fun!

I spent five days solo camping in Palm Springs/Joshua Tree.

Joshua Tree is one of the greatest places in the world and I had a great time being by myself, being sober, hiking and fucking around in the desert.

Barely noticed the Coachella shit going on, though I did kick it at the Ace Hotel pool in Palm Springs for 6 hours one day to soak up those vibes + all the bouncing booties.

Arrive Friday afternoon, leave Monday morning. Will hit a few museums and walk around the left bank / Seine but have plenty of discretionary time to dedicate to anything interesting.
