there is no end to which people on the Internet (and a noteworthy segment of Americans, it seems) will not go to defend a policeman's "right" to execute U in the street without due process. this, to me, has been the single most shocking realization i've had since Black Lives Matter came to prominence. many people strongly believe and want to encourage police officers to shoot people when they R confused or frightened. i think it's literal insanity.

U would think agents of the state acting with impunity as judge, jury, and executioner would be a real issue 4 small government conservatives.

Then I remember... oh yeah! Racism.

I can't believe the Falcons R putting up these numbers on offense. I'd written Matt Ryan off but holy shit he is lighting it up.

Hard to accept that Aaron Rodgers, Hall of Fame All World QB, has vanished and the Packers R basically starting a McCown brother at the position.

I have no sympathy 4 Packers fans. U guys went from one HoF QB do another HoF QB, with no one in between. Very few teams in the NFL have been able to pull that off.

I haven't watched a single football game this year.

My cousin is a big Falcons fan though so I hope they don't choke and make the playoffs. If they do then I'll probably watch those games.

The last 3 weeks have produced the best games of the season. The NFC is basically Dallas & Seattle plus a bunch of average teams. The AFC could be more interesting now that Gronk is out. I feel like the Raiders are still a year away.

    I've never played quarterback.

When you're taking a direct snap, do you press the back of your top hand against the center's balls/taint until he hikes it to you?

Yes. You use different pressure to signify when the ball should be snapped.

Dreading the Packers vs Giants game tomorrow. Seen this same match up twice before & it doesn't end well for GB.

I think Dallas will score at will against the Packers. Could be a high scoring game. I am thinking 45-35 with a bulk of the Packers scoring coming in "garbage time".

I'd love to be wrong. As good as the Packers have looked I hate the match up this weekend.

I don't know what to think about my Seahawks against the Dirty Birds.  They've been so erratic this season.  I figure either we get completely smoked, like 42-13, or our defense shows up, Russell makes some great throws and we establish a running game, and Seattle wins 24-10.  Obviously hoping for the latter...

    Edit: Current mood updated

My NFL-loving cousin was in town last weekend so I watched every single wildcard game. It was not a fun experience. The Packers game was alright though and Rodgers Hail Mary got me off my seat.

Rooting for the Pack because I fucking hate the Cowboys so much. Also, rooting for the Dirty Birds because my cousin is from Atlanta and fuck Pete Carroll.

    Predictions:
    NE - PIT
    GB - ATL

    ATL - NE

That was an amazing game. Happy for you Nick! I'm excited for that NFC Championship matchup as well.

I'm doing pretty well with my picks so far, especially since I didn't watch a single regular season game from start to finish all year. I wish I had some money on these now. WP64strodamus!

I expected a comeback even when GB built up that lead. Thought for sure this was going to be another playoff heartbreak.

But wow, what a game, throw from Rodgers, catch from Cook & kick from Crosby.

I watched game with my Dad and we both have a rabid hatred for Jerry Jones and the Cowboys. When Crosby's last kick snuck past that left upright we were celebrating real hard. It took us a while to realize, as Bears fans, this probably wasn't the appropriate reaction.

Fuck the Bears forever though. That game was amazing.

Also, I am now a perfect four-for-four in my picks. Trump won't make it past 2017 is my new hot pick!

As disappointing as that loss was it doesn't even make my Top 5 Worst Packers Losses.

Basically after losing in a Super Bowl and the collapse in Seattle it takes a lot to crack the 3-5 spots.
