This LA/Chi series is basically the real Stanley Cup Final this year isn't it?

It's also possible that the St. Louis/Chicago series was the real Stanley Cup Final.

I really didn't think the Habs were gonna be able to win that one in OT. Pretty impressive result and great stuff from their inexperienced, 24-year old goalie. The post-game commentators were right, Budaj needs to find a new team this offseason.

Also, the Kings and Hawks actually did wager a pizza on this series through twitter. I feel like that is a pretty significant and important thing for all of us to recognize. Game 2 was unfortunate and the Hawks looked sluggish and awful in that final period. The refs didn't help but they were just doing their job (maybe a little too well).

I love hockey.

The first 2 periods of that game was the first time this playoffs that I really started to feel like I was watching the 2014 Stanley Cup winner. Then the 3rd happened. Hopefully it'll just end up being a blip on an otherwise great run, but still plenty to fear from this kings squad. Let's go Hawks.

Fuck this bullshit. I've been perpetually drunk this whole weekend so the ramifications of being down 2-1 in this series isn't really setting in. But still….what the fuck!

Tokarski has made some exceptional goals tonight but is also leaving a lot of second-chance opportunities that the Rangers haven't been able to capitalize on. Rangers have spent way too much time in the penalty box and Subban finally made them pay.

This entire period has been incredible back-and-forth action. C'mon Habs!

Good Canadian boy Martin Saint Lewis made sure those French refs didn't steal the game for Montreal. 
 

There were actually quite a few acting jobs by the Habs in that game. But most of those were pretty obvious penalties. Whatever.

I am marinating in anger and hostility right now.

 

I will not watch the Rangers play the fucking Kings. I just won't do it.

New York City built a wall alright. Good to see the Canadiens win a game in that fashion and hopefully breath some new life in this series. I am going to shut myself out of all contact with the outside world this week and spend every second either studying and finishing finals or watching hockey.

If the Canadiens comeback, and I recognize how big of an if it still is, I am going to travel down to Montreal and spend a week doing nothing but partying.

Whether they win or lose, you can spend the week rioting.

Those chicks that clean up the ice during time outs (LOL) at Hawks games were handing out "Go Hawks" signs at Union Station this morning.

So many bros were swarming them with hope in their eyes that they'd get more than just a dopey piece of cardboard. The garbage can right outside the station was filled with these things. Like a metaphor for the season and the broken hearts of commuters unable to have found love with one of these classy chicks.

Nick, they're called "ice girls." Have some respect for the title.
