I'm giving a cautious "yes". I think the weirdness of the FBI in the last week is primarily affecting the media perception of how this is going down, but not so much in how people R actually going to vote. It seems more a litmus test than anything. Still, super irritating this is even being approached as a scandal.

Having been in the UK during the Brexit vote, I'm getting more and more fearful of a surprise win from Trump and seeing the sort of confidence evident in Raj's post only makes me more fearful.

Well, I was speaking to Undo's pessimism even in the event that Trump loses (maybe unclear since I didn't quote his whole post). I am also still relatively confident he'll lose the general, and while I think the Brexit vote is a good reminder that people shouldn't take things lightly or underestimate the margin of error in polling, I think the American case is significantly and crucially different, not in small part because we have a much larger non-white population.

African-American and Hispanic people don't have their heads in the ground. They know what the stakes R, and I think they will keep Trump out of the White House. But yeah, nothing 4 granted. Going to vote myself this afternoon.

538 has been giving Trump the best shot all summer. No one's gonna sleep until the votes R counted but Clinton is looking pretty good right now.

I'm sitting in a library studying 4 the GMAT exam and all I can think is that I want to be in a comfortable yet dark bar drinking manhattans while this goes down. Trump wins I can order 5 more and try to forget it ever happened, Hilary wins I can have a nice enjoyable evening of watching it go down. A little bit freaking out.

It's a long story but I'm in the worst possible place to try to deal with this right now. Really just want to be alone right now.

I'm pretty devastated right now.

Still digesting what is rapidly becoming very real but posting here to acknowledge that I'm running on a year and a half of being very wrong about the Direction of Things and many of U who I thought were needlessly pessimistic were absolutely right. I know that's no comfort to U now.

Like a lot of people I'm torn between fuck-everything feelings of giving up and a strong urge to do something positive in the weeks/months/years to come and I'm going to make a sincere effort to pitch my brain in the latter direction. Will check back here periodically and welcome any calls to action in that regard. Hope U R all safe tonight. I still believe there's a better world out there.
