Really glad that botched 24 second violation which swung the momentum of the game didn't alter its outcome. People like me would be an insufferable mess today.

pretty sure it just says something along the lines of "Home of 2012 WNBA Champions" Indiana FeverNed Braden wrote:Wish I could see the rest of that WNBA sign cause there's a lot of solid punchline potential there.

Re: Hoop It Up
Roy Hibbert seems to have perfected the art of extreme coasting through the regular season because he completely lulled me into thinking he had forgotten how to score.
It's another reason you gotta love Vogel. Sure he played his starting five a lot throughout the course of the season and George Hill is paying for it now, but at least Hibbert looks like he still has legs in the playoffs. At least David West battled through his late season back problems and is playing well now. They didn't stress about getting the number two seed in the East going into the playoffs and it turns out it didn't matter. For the limitations this Pacers roster has, Frank Vogel gets credit for maximizing it now and not in March.

Re: Hoop It Up
pretty pumped and nervous for game 5 tonight, dudes, not gonna lie. Pacers were the first time i ever started following as a kid and haven't stopped. They've got an opportunity, but, you know, the other team has the best player in the world on their team. probably gonna spend a lot of time standing in front of the television if this game is a close one.
and there will be yelling.

Fuck. Former baller and Yancy avatar Mookie Blaylock is on life support after a nasty car crash. Used to love this guy's crazy game.

Pretty amped for tonight's game, y'all. Pretty pissed at Mookie drunkenly killed some people, though. He's history's greatest monster.

Re: Hoop It Up
i think if hibbert gets his 20/10, and someone else on the pacers drops a big game then they can pull this off. gotta play the usual stifling D, and not get into foul trouble.
i'm nervous that Scott Foster is the head official in this crew, who was the head ref in that bulls-heat game last round that gave us 9 techs, 2 ejections and a wild amount of pf's. he and one of the other officials has a tendency to call offensive charges, so maybe that works in the favor of Indy.
I don't subscribe to the conspiracy theories, i'm just hopeful this game is decided by basketball players and the officiating doesn't overshadow what should be an incredible game (and series).

Re: Hoop It Up
Vine is an excellent social media platform
celebrities have already ruined it by turning it into a place to disseminate quirky self-promotional bullshit though

Re: Hoop It Up
I don't see how vine isn't just a gif repository with the (typically annoying and/or useless) addition of sound. When I'm using social media, I'm usually on a mobile device in a place where I don't want to emit a nonsensical six-second loop of sound.
But then, I also don't understand how instagram is anything other than tweeting a filtered photo, something I'm more than capable of doing without juggling yet another username & friend list.
And for the record, I used to think twitter was a completely useless diversion, so I'm probably just wrong about everything.

Re: Hoop It Up
today's onion bits about the pacers being idiots for believing in the themselves and the heat not sure if people's congratulations are sarcastic or not are both pretty terrific.

Rewound and watched Hibbert drinking that Gatorade at least 25 times, last night. Astonishing. Especially in his nonchalance.

Re: Hoop It Up
I don't bet sports, but if I did I'd put $100 on the Spurs to sweep, getting 18 to 1. These are the finals that should've happened last year, and I think Miami is drawing dead. Unfortunately I'm wrong about everything.
