Re: Now Playing
I had no idea that this was a song by The Cars. I thought they wrote songs that were, you know, catchy, and not soft rock.
I'm assuming this must have been some kind of jumping off moment for them like "Human" was for The Human League.

Holy hell those look to be two consecutive posts that require serious engagement but I’m busy atm. Really want to listen to that thing with the very interesting thumbnail. And the Cars post is both mind blowing and 100% understandable. I thought literally every human knew Drive was their song, but if you’d heard a few handfuls of other Cars songs and you didn’t already know this, the connection wouldn’t be remotely apparent.

Re: Now Playing
When the song isn't finished yet but everybody starts clapping at 3:09, it it because the audience thought the song was over? Or because the string section part was so sick that it deserved a round of applause that simply couldn't wait?
I like how YT thumbnail makes it look like she's looking at my avatar and thinking "ugh, not another undo post."

Well this was fucking stupendous.
Sorta like an AI prompt to “do 80s Bowie but lyrics are mad libs and/or insane person gibberish.” High quality.

Evangelicals - The Evening Descends
Whatever happened to this band??
This is one my the all time favorite records, but I haven’t thought about it for a while. I once went on a roadtrip with the world famed musician, “IA$$Rape” from N3gro League, and I know it was a super awesome time. But for the life of me, I can’t remember where we went or what we did. All I remember is driving through California mountains with a clunky ass 1980s bmw sedan that was constantly on the verge of breaking down and cranking the volume of this album on the (restored and actually good) car speakers to the absolute max and just wondering at how incredible this thing was. We must’ve listened to it back to back at least 4 times.
It’s hitting great right now. There’s an overarching theme of death and zombie shit and weird love and yeah this is deffo one of those albums that benefits from the volume being a tad too high and your brain being in a little bit of a fucked up state.
