Re: Dead Thread
Very sad to hear about Malcolm Young's death at the relatively young age of 64. Dude lived hard, I guess. Hell of a motherfucking songwriter.

Re: Dead Thread
O’Riordan, born in Limerick in 1971, joined the Cranberries – then called the Cranberry Saw Us – in 1990, and performed with them until 2003 when they took a hiatus. Driven by O’Riordan’s heartfelt vocals and her unmistakeable west Irish accent, they became hugely successful on both sides of the Atlantic.

I'll always owe a debt to The Cranberries for making Faye Wong's version of "Dreams" possible. May she rest in peace.

I loved Fredo for the song "History," which I always considered the trap house version of the Ninja Gaiden soundtrack. RPI.

Re: Dead Thread
This is really devastating for me
I don't think I listened to The Fall until I was 21 years old but at this point they're definitely my favourite band of all time and yeah, I was convinced that he was indestructible

I agree with all of this, pretty much word for word, except for the weird way you spell 'favorite.'

Rest in Peace Nujabes + J Dilla pic.twitter.com/3y5EZGXQAV
Sorry but I think Nujabes is really boring.
Not his fault or anything but his influence has been pernicious at best.

Holy shit, Johann Johannsson is dead. 48 years old. I saw that dude at the Empty Bottle in 2004, which was somehow eons ago. Wow.

Re: Dead Thread
I had the most vivid dream that Gordon Lightfoot had died.
I laid awake for fifteen minutes in complete certainty that it had actually happened and then seeing that this was thread bumped I was barely even phased, I mean of course it would be.

Re: Dead Thread
Was a bummer reading about Cecil Taylor, but he was 89 and played his piano all over Europe so we'll call that one a full life, imo.
