I watched the most recent season of Dexter. It was pretty good, though the ending hinged on a pretty major "he wouldn't fucking do that" plot point.
Dexter's sister's makeup is inconsistent. Sometimes she looks normal, other times she looks like she's been spending too much time in a tanning salon.

I thought this past season was the low point of the series. Deb finding out about Dex combined with her hatred of Dex's girlfriend seemed poorly written each episode.

The best part was Laguerta getting shot. I'll miss looking at her thick ass but the character was horrible.

I read one of the books recently. Doakes (first name "Albert" in the books) on Dexter's ass. Deb already knew he was a serial killer and LaGuerta was already dead. I think it was only the 2nd or 3rd book.

As far as the tv show goes, I've only seen the first season and the one with the motivational speaker.

The woman who played Hannah McKay seems like a not very good actress to me.

watched all of s2 of Downton Abbey in the last couple of days. most everything turned out happy and sort of on the up and up i suppose, or as expected. would've liked more unexpected outcomes.

I guess if you make a movie length holiday special you're expected to tie up a whole lot.

Pretty psyched about Sunday's premiere for no good reason.

That show is basically a conservative fantasy where the rich are good and virtuous and the poors know their place, but

I watched two episodes of Girls last night. I was surprised by how shitty I found it. Only moment I enjoyed was the gay dude telling the ugly chick her dad is gay.

I'm enjoying this show House of Lies, though the ballbusting is a bit douchey and the gay 10 year old son subplot is gratuitous.

WKRP falls into the category of too low-def for me to ever go back and get into. Caught a few minutes of it in syndication recently, painful to HD spoiled eyes.

Re Dexter: I think Sirko fucking killed it. Russian bad guy by the numbers trumps most other types of bad guys, and Sirko was badass. Everytime he and Dexter had a conversation seemed like a season 7 highlight.

Yeah, the season 2 teaser trailer looks great. Probably gonna snag my parents' unused HBO Go account so I don't have to bother with torrents.

Watched part of Ellen today to catch Chris Kluwe's interview, and stumbled onto those guys performing the "Thrift Shop" song. Ellen said it was #1, which I shouldn't find surprising in our post-Gangnam world, but I assumed that youtube was a total joke when I saw it.

I realize I'm a terrible human for watching the Ellen show on purpose. At least now I know how great the new girl on SNL's impression is.

Watched the first two episodes of season 2 of HBO's Girls this weekend and unsurprisingly saw plenty of Lena Dunham's tits, ass, and thighs.

I think she would be less attractive thin. Aside from the regrettable tattoos, she's pretty much already the ideal version of herself, for better or worse.

Felt the last half of American Horror Story was just like, stupid really.

Spartacus so far has been so-so in the two episodes released thus far. I feel like they dialed back the gore and meh.

Just got the entire first season of Persons of Interest on DVD for $20. Gonna dive into that soonish.

Episode 3 was kind of try-too-hard quirky, which maybe was unavoidable when the protagonists are on coke most of the time.

Episode 4 brought back a little heart. Almost teared up when Ray told Shoshanna how much he loves her. tearsofjoy

    I really enjoyed episode three.

Especially when Marnie goes to the artist's studio. The part with all the TVs.

    Now downloading number four.
