I've fallen deep into my comfort zone and don't really listen to music anymore. Like, not in the sense that I did ten or even five years ago. I've completely lost touch with rap of the 2010s, I don't even try. Pop music on the radio bores and irritates me. I just listen to old CDs in the car, NPR, and half the albums I buy are not new music (just got Souvlaki for Christmas, listened to New York Dolls while running errands today, etc). I remember getting excited about the year-end stuff and the Pitchfork lists were always appointment reading material. Now I scroll through them really fast and I haven't even heard the popular stuff on them.

I don't know what the point of that paragraph is, just give me another year or two to get all of that stuff out of my system and I'll be good.
