Whoa, blast from the past. One of my first dozen or so CDs. All the redneck flannel hippies in my high school rock band brainwashed me into liking fIREHOSE long enough to buy that.

Probably one of the only people in the world equally into Firehouse and fIREHOSE simultaneously.

Jammed this Mike Watt banger the other day:

Definitely one of the better SY-affiliated songs in existence, tbh. IMO.

I've had a swollen lymph node near my throat for the past 6 weeks now that won't go away. According to what I have been reading online, which I am trying not to put any value in, I have like basically every symptom of lymphoma. No

This has spread into my left armpit which is swollen and tender. I have a doctors appointment on the 2nd of next month. But until then I am in full on freak out mode. 1.23 in every 100,00 people are diagnosed with lymphoma before the age of 20 -- so the odds are in my favor.

Anyways, I am listening to J Dilla's Donuts and trying to occupy my mind with the paper I have to write.

a mate from Japan who has just moved to London is bringing over a "box of music" I left at his house over a decade ago.

excitedly anticipating Wu-Tang deep cuts and mini discs full of big beat.

i think the only thing out of that lot that i've never got round to replacing (largely digitally, a few vinyl) is the Killah Priest. no actual memory of buying it or ever owning it.

I could not keep a minidisc player working for more than 1 year. I'm amazed that yours survived a decade.

If I can dig up my copy of SuperBlackMarketClash it's yours, buddy. Bought it on deep discount when the 34th Street HMV was going out of business.

I've got some very fond memories of listening to "City of the Dead" while wandering around post-9/11 NYC.

I'm amazed mine still works. the battery compartment is buggered so you can't use it portably but hook the bad boy up to a power source and you can blast obsolete media until the cows come home.
