I always turn this track on at whatever party I am at. I've come to really enjoy it. And actually the whole album is pretty alright.

I've been listening to Joanna Newsom's Have One On Me this month. Long album but sounds much better than I remember.

This thing is still winding its way around Illinois via the US postal service. Would have been delivered to my condo on 9/21, but my recent address change threw a wrench in the gears. I'll probably get it next week.

looks like this is getting a less-elite (single cover, black vinyl) release in the next few weeks. more of the uk stores have a pre-order link up so hopefully it'll be more readily available than the last one...

Quality drop. That bluesy piano suspension at the end of Side 1 is the primary sample in Public Enemy's "Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos."

So when someone starts talking about music and they describe everything that sounds like it was made using a computer as "techno" how do you politely tell them to shut the fuck up?

Like, how the fuck is someone gonna call Justice techno? Why the fuck was I even in a conversation with someone recently about Justice? Fucking shit.

I try not to talk about music with anyone IRL. Which is why I probably talk about it too much here.

Apparently I wince in public when country music comes on, and inevitably people ask me what I'm into that's so great.

I think Paves a few other boarders are apologetically into a lot of their material, though I could be wrong. I haven't gotten into them at all but only because of the obnoxious stigma that surrounds the band.

When I was at Outside Lands this summer Bob Weir jumped on stage during The National performance. I fucking detest The National and was only there to wait for Paul McCartney but even in his old age he was bringing the goods to that performance. Pretty wicked shit, for sure.
